20.01.2022 *** EVENT POSTPONED TO 21st July 2019 *** . The weather forecast for this weekend is for unsafe swimming conditions and after talking to the life guards, we have decided to postpone the Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim 2019 until Sunday 21st July. .... BOOO we hear you say! We say BOOO too! . However, it simply wouldn’t be responsible to hold the swim this weekend especially with approximately 39 ocean rescue taking place on the Sunshine Coast yesterday alone, regrettably, Mother Nature is going to win this weekend! . We have a record number of swimmers registered, and we know more swimmers have been watching the surf to see if the swim was going ahead. . Bear with us until the 21st of July we promise it will still be a great morning’s swim. The weather forecast is for calm conditions on the 21st and we have our amazing suppliers ready to go! . Of course, we understand if the 21st doesn’t suit everyone, and if this is the case, please email the secretary of Alex Rotary at [email protected] and let us know that you require a refund, or you may by you wish to make a donation either way, it’s your call, and we will respect your decision. Simply drop us an email and we’ll follow your wishes. . Our sincere apologies, it’s certainly unusual weather for this time of year and Mother Nature is beyond our control sadly. .
