25.01.2022 Another nice day at Eaglehawk neck! Vis was down a bit but a perfect day otherwise.

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Like most organisations we are closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and as we have had a few questions I thought it prudent to add a few comments on this page. At present our planned courses are going ahead however, the situation is changing rapidly and it might change at the last minute.... The rationale for things going ahead is as follows (as of 23/3/20): 1. Tasmania has 28 cases of CV-19, at the time of writing, all we know of are cases of inward travel from overseas/interstate, there have been no reported cases of commmunity transfer. 2. I have been in contact with PADI and they have not recommended courses be suspended at this stage. 3. I am confident we can maintain the government mandated social distance recommendations/regulations. 4. Tasmania has not closed it's schools, our courses are comparable to schools in many ways and our groups meetings are small and well within guidelines. 5. The majority of our theory delivery is done via online e-learning already. So at this stage planned courses are proceeding, however if you are in a vulnerable group or frankly would like to change your plans I understand, I recognise everyone may have a different risk appetite - please let me know ASAP and I will honour your course booking until the next opportunity after this virus goes away or up until I'm not teaching anymore. (im not giving up teaching anytime soon).. Naturally if you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with a COVID-19 case please dont attend. We will complete your course at a later date. Stay safe everyone, these are crazy times. Please practice social distancing and together we can flatten the curve! Regards, Brad.

22.01.2022 Next TDI Decompression Procedures Course now scheduled for 12&13 December, If you would like to combine Advanced Nitrox include 6 December also. These courses allow you to conduct deco dives to 45mtrs using mixes of oxygen for decompression up to 100%

21.01.2022 Beautiful day at Eaglehawk Neck! Anyone want to join us to for a couple of dives tomorrow the weather looks perfect!

21.01.2022 Little bit of footage of today’s dive!

20.01.2022 We have one spot available on a TDI Decompression Procedures Course being held over the last two weekends of this month. If anyone is interested let me know and I’ll provide you more details.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Yvonne Sue Marschke, Clint Williams and Billy Hills on completing their PADI Open Water Course in Bicheno this afternoon! Some awesome photos from the two beautiful dives today.

16.01.2022 In celebration of #worldoceanday I thought I’d share some pics from some of my first ever dives!

15.01.2022 Update: Hi everyone. Our advertised open water course in May is now fully booked. All is not lost though and despite the temperatures being a little cooler during the winter months, it actually makes little difference in the water and the weather provides some excellent diving opportunities with visibility and wind conditions typically being better!... I’m keen to offer some more advanced diving over winter however if you would like to do an open water course, inbox me and I’ll be happy to arrange another. ******** Another open water diving course will be held in May over two weekends. Saturday 2nd - pool dives Sunday 3rd - ocean dives 1&2 Saturday 9th - ocean dives 3&4 Sunday 10th - fun social dives 5&6 Inbox or comment if you would like to book. Location will be flexible depending on student location but will typically be around Hobart, Bicheno & Maria Island.

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, just in the process of booking our next open water course.... Please inbox us if interested. We will try to set dates that work for everyone.

14.01.2022 Fantastic weekend, thanks Mark Kolodziej for the pics!

13.01.2022 CV19 has been hard but we are back into it. All packed for some nice dives at Eaglehawk neck tomorrow and looking forward to a TDI deco procedures course planned later this month! I have some nice dive sites picked out.

12.01.2022 What a day at EHN !! Dived the Sisters and the Chasm. Thanks to Mick from Eaglehawk Dive centre for taking us, and to Go Dive for cancelling their charter!! Bit rough for those soft !#@&* A couple of shots from both dives

12.01.2022 Technical Diving Courses this year.. It is getting to that time of the year! Technical dive courses... Temperatures will start to cool, the visability should improve.. For me it's time focus on some more advanced training in some really sceanic places and I'm excited!... We will still be running entry level courses for those that are interested. In June 2020 we plan to run a combined TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Course. By combining these courses you will be able to perform full staged decompression dives utilising oxygen mixes up to 100% to 45msw. This course is challenging and limited to four people. To enrol in this course you should be an an experienced deep diver in our local conditions. Before signing up, you should think about this...... Deep dives in the warmer climates are nice but they are not the same as deep diving in the cooler waters of Tasmania. To enrol in this course you should be confident and regularly doing single tank dives to 30-40 mtrs. These courses are also equipment intensive but we will do our best to assist in providing equipment you dont have.. The most spectacular diving in Tasmania is 40msw+ so if you are committed the rewards are worth it and are typically magical sponge gardens and the like. Following the completion of this course you may enrol in the TDI extended range course which may get you deep enough to see the magical black coral off the east coast of Tasmania as pictured. Cost for Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures combined is $1300. I also plan to run an extended range course in July/August.

11.01.2022 Looking to run one more TDI Advanced Nitrox / Deco Procedures Course or Extended Range Course before we get into to summer season or Open Water courses. Let me know if you are interested.

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Olivia Johnson, Jane Ruckert, for completing the TDI Deco Procedures Course this weekend and Joanna Smart for completing a combined Deco Procedures and advanced nitrox. All three are already very accomplished divers and open water instructors. A milestone for me as I’m pretty sure this is the first tech course I I’ve finished with all female participants and it’s great to see the girls getting into our sport at this level! Also check out Jane Ruckett flyin...g her CCR that she has recently purchased! Thanks to Eaglehawk Dive Center and Michael Baron for doing the boat work. Cheers Brad

10.01.2022 Great news! I know the costs have been significant and the restrictions have been really hard for many businesses out there however Tassie is looking better and better. I'd like to thank the Govt for easing restrictions for the long weekend and opening the scallop season. I wont be going after scallops this weekend however, instead going to our property on the West Coast so please leave a few scallops for us everyone! Happy hunting and stay safe both with CV-19 and in the ...water! We will be opening up courses again soon and will be prioritising those that have paid deposits towards courses before we all had to shut down. I have emailed you all individually so please get in touch. Cheers, Brad

07.01.2022 Happy #padiwomensdiveday ! Commonly seen as a male-centric sport in the past, today we celebrate the women all over the world who love to dive and who love the ocean. The goal is to inspire more women into the sport, to build their confidence and to become ambassadors for the very special underwater world.

04.01.2022 Great weekend away doing a TDI deco procedures course with Jane Ruckert, Joanna Smart, Oliva Johnson and Johnny Keane. All doing really well in really trying conditions!

01.01.2022 Hi Everyone, As I mentioned in my last post, things are changing rapidly. I have deferred all group practical components of courses until further notice, including the plans for this Saturday. If you are home and looking for things to do over what is likely be an extended period, PADI have offered a 20% discount on all e-learning and I'm happy to pass this on. So if you are thinking about taking a course in the future this could be a good opportunity to get the theory compo...nent largely completed. I can offer a range of TDI e-learning options as well. Stay safe everyone and together "lets flatten the curve"!
