24.01.2022 Edition#16 of "What's that smell" has just been Blogged. Get onto it!
22.01.2022 The Windsor Ale, happily clad in sheepskin (not one of ours!), blopping its way through a midwinter week in Tylden. The krausen is already over an inch high, and growing, after less than 24 hours of fermentation. This brew is such a feast for the eyes, ears, nose and in time, throat It won’t even need to be refrigerated
21.01.2022 Red ales in the sunset A windswept and interesting Celtic Red Ale to round out a pleasant Sunday’s bulb planting and wood cutting. Have a great, and Covid19 free week people. Sending positive vibes down Gippsland way for Kev Clarke (YVGS old boy) recovering from a stroke Get out of Kev Satan
18.01.2022 Video bomber Beth Gibbons through the speakers, bubbling through the airlock and Torz through the door of the shed. An iso trinity
17.01.2022 Day #2, and the Windsor Ale is up n at em Enjoying its fur coat no doubt, like all good Windsors. The Krausen is now at a solid inch and a half and rising I dreamt last night that this brew had blown the lid off the fermenter and melted the airlock, and was still a sublime brew.... Dreams do come true sometimes
16.01.2022 The much anticipated (overdue) Edition #15 of "What's that smell?" has just belly whackered Brewlords. Kerchink!
16.01.2022 A cheeky IPA with Cascade and Citra hops. This brew is also my first ever using the brewing yeast under the lid of the tin. At least it’s up and about
15.01.2022 Bluup. A fascinating back story to this far from fascinating brew. I’ll talk about it in the August edition of What’s that smell
12.01.2022 The Azacca Ale is certainly heady tonight
09.01.2022 Sampling day for the Windsor Ale It walks softly, and carries a big stick
08.01.2022 Bottled the Windsor ale today after 12 days of fermentation. In that dozen days it went from an Original Gravity of 1080 to a final gravity of 1022. With bottle conditioning she should end up at around 8.6%ABV, so certainly a destination as opposed to a journey beer I was reading Edition #14 of What’s that Smell?, Tylden’s premier home brewing blog, and the editor was talking about the sad passing of the tallie in Australian beer culture. So I’ve bottled this toe curler into vintage 750ml (or Imperial equivalent) Aussie beer bottles Sampling around the end of August
07.01.2022 Citra hopped IPA after another day in the pit.... This is going just fine. Discovering my inner hipster
03.01.2022 Hey dark brewlords! The anti-Christmas edition #14 of 'What's that smell?' is now live, or undead.....
