24.01.2022 The beauty industry is not a laughing matter. As you may have seen, the issue of beauty salons being unable to reopen was raised at Prime Minister's Question...s yesterday in Parliament. Whilst we were pleased to see the industry brought up, we - along with many others - were disappointed and angered by the tone in which it was done. To see the Government laughing and joking about the future of our industry is unfair to those who work in it. Once again, no clarity was offered in terms of dates, or what the next steps would need to be for beauty salons to be classed as "covid secure". This is despite other industries being given potential timelines for when they could reopen by Government ministers. There has also been no consideration given to the steps salons have already taken, both for the safety of clients and those who work in them. The second cotton round shows how much cleaner my skin was after the second round of cleansing....
