24.01.2022 SCU Gold Toasties were out in full force at the 23 conference yesterday and we made quite an impression! Sarah, Eddie and Mattie braved the speaking contests for the first time ever and they did a fantastic job: Eddie shared the story of Socrates in Table Topics and Mattie made everyone laugh with his suggestion to throw frisbees at joggers. Sarah's evaluation of the test speaker was delivered with beautiful compassion and poise. Lynda in a beautifully crafted international... speech - delivered with a lot of passion - convinced everyone to make more time for our creative endeavors. Christiane in her keynote speech was also able to share her passion for volunteers and other quiet high achievers. John was perfect in the role of Seargent at Arms, keeping us all on track and on time. He also documented the proceedings with his very special camera..watch this space for more.

21.01.2022 Unfortunately, there will be no in-person meetings at SCU Toastmasters for the next few weeks. Even that most of us are healthy and the uni gets cleaned every day, we want to make sure we are not putting our loved ones at risk. BUT...we are working on moving our meetings to an interactive online format ....coming soon....watch this space!
