20.01.2022 I don't like any of the "games" People are forever playing & sharing so called "games" which always seems to show a small part of your "likes" music, year born, star signs, personality, I too get caught up sometimes out of interest. But we really must be vigilant, too many are spending way too much time sharing their characteristics on-line. Be careful what play.

11.01.2022 Construction sites are currently still operational with strict site safety policies & procedures in place for their Workers, tradespeople, subcontractors, installers & suppliers, in response to the Coronavirus restrictions. A suggested recommendation if you are a subbie, that you ensure you make your own risk assessment & check what the site has in place to minimize being contaminated by the Coronavirus. Have your own sanitizer on you, even though a well managed site should ...have enough supplies in strategic places. Keep to the social distancing rules, keep in the 1 person in 4 square metre rule for indoors. Additional hand washing facilities including disposable gloves and face masks should be provided. Meal breaks should be staggered on the larger sites to provide workers with greater personal space during breaks. Should coronavirus contamination be detected, it is possible a partial or full site closure may occur on advice from the State health authority to allow the cleaning and decontamination process to be actioned and to ensure that the risk of infection is contained as overseen by the health authority. Coronavirus is not discriminatory it can affect anyone who is exposed to it, so it is extremely important that everyone contributes to the actions and behavior’s that are required to reduce the exposure and the spread of this disease good hygiene is essential. Don’t go to work and put your colleagues at risk if you are sick. Be strict in all aspects of hygiene & sanitation on site & off. Seek authorised information & keep up-to-date with restrictions as they change daily. As there are a lot of off-the-cuff" responses being made to questions on what to do on site or in work environments, it is never more important to get it from authorised agencies. SCWIB has shared this information for your general knowledge and is not supplying it as authorised. You must check for yourself the current conditions from your WHS officer or be guided by the Authorised health authority & regulations as they change daily. How long construction sites remain open is uncertain. Keep safe, keep your distance & keep sanitized! Some reference sites to keep informed as huge penalties can be implemented if you don't stick by the rules, remember these are put in place to try & rid our society of the dreaded Coronavirus so we can get back to living life as we know it here in Australia! 05.01.2022 South Coast Women in Building & Construction wish you a Happy International Women’s Day 2020! As the weekend draws to an end and for me I have, as a grandmothe...r enjoyed the very busy and fulfilling weekend with 3 of my grandchildren that are under the age of 10. I look at their enthusiasm, curiosity & zest for life and it has a sense of bringing what life is about, wholesome and embracing acceptance of what’s happening around us in the NOW! As I watched each of them interact with other kids their age in the playground, it was the youngest, my granddaughter that captured my eye as to her integration with the mostly boys group. With her personality of determination and I can do attitude it reminded me of the generational changes that women have worked so hard to have accepted. That as a gender base, our skills and learning are equal if not in some areas, surpassed its ability to direct societal changes. I am sure in her 6 year old eyes, she will work as hard if not harder to show that she also has the skills that it takes to put her mind in a can do attitude. She will expand her knowledge, skills and talent with caution but, with no fear! It is primary for women and men in our society to encourage acceptance of a gender balance that we are fortunate to have so many people across all genders work towards, to be a more productive and fulfilling environment based on ability, skills, determination and acceptance, not gender. Attitude change is the challenge. From across the globe we see communal support from the adversities that are thrown at us each day, where all walks of life band together to protect and encourage each other in times of hardships, to be productive, to help, encourage and acknowledge those that have gone the extra yards to support. The strength of communities is bound by the acceptance that we are all here to have a can do attitude. International Women’s Day 2020 brings forth so many women & girls of today that have made non-traditional traditional. The choices in their field of work and life reflect this, that our children and grandchildren are creating the generational change needed for the wholesome, embracing acceptance of what’s happening now and into the future for a more productive and gender balanced environment. Our motto Encourage Inspire Acknowledge. Happy International Women’s Day 2020.
