25.01.2022 Let me give you a bit of insight into our history of delivering to this store. This store has arguably had more tenants than I've had hot dinners! Started coming here for Woolworths fallen fancy grocer #ThomasDuxGrocer when they opened in 2010. Back then the store was all but brand new. I'll admit, The Dux was a fav of ours up until its closure, and we still sometimes frequent the other former Melbourne stores at Armadale and Black Rock in their new capacity as #WoolworthsMet...ro When The Dux closed in Feb 2016 it became About Life in early May, of which we also delivered to. Started off okay, but in the end there were some telltale signs that predicted their eventual downfall. And now, as of Dec 2018, its the Port Melbourne Grocer. Time will tell, but these guys might just prove to be the best yet. I started off delivering to their other store @prahrangrocer and I can tell you, they are extremely good operators and do not mess around. If you're local in the area, please do get down and check these guys out as you will not be disappointed. They're open from 7am-9pm 7 days a week at 120 Bay St, Port Melbourne. #ShopLocal guys, hopefully these guys stick it right up to #Coles down the street. #portmelbournegrocer #gotogrocer #gotocafe #3207

22.01.2022 One of our customers, #AboutLife #PortMelbourne closed their doors last week, 2 and a bit years after they took over the reigns on the shop from one of our former fav's, #thomasduxgrocer. We've also had word that their NSW shops are closing. To be replaced by another one of our customers! Prahran Grocer, trading as "Port Melbourne Grocer". Ever since our time with #cokevending in Australia, we've been fixated with Magliner Gemini's from Magline Inc. in the US. Not cheap, but they use them for a reason! This thing has saved our bacon on more than one occasion let me tell you!

It seriously feels like yesterday that we started delivering flowers here when it was Thomas Dux, then chicken and assorted other foods, we did the same for About Life when they took over and then these absolute legends moved in and it honestly feels like yesterday that they commenced trade as well! It's coming up to a year since they took the former Bay St Port Melbourne shopfront of one of our former favs, Thomas Dux Grocer, from one of our former customers, About Life. Time flies! Yes, this place has had more tenants than most have had hot dinners, but it certainly has come a long way in 12 months! As the ED said, it's looking the best it has in the 3 years since TDG closed there, and yes they've definately done justice to those there before them. 14.01.2022 We didn't realise this until recently, but upon taking a look at Google Maps one day we realised that our Isuzu was seen around a bit! She was captured in 2017, about to turn into Ormond Rd, Elwood (likely going to deliver to the likes of Cleo's Deli Elwood , FoodWorks Elwood Village , The Leaf Store etc) and parked on Glen Eira Rd, Ripponlea. Pity we didn't have signage on her!

11.01.2022 #tbt On this day one year ago, 19th July 2019: We got the call from Manheim Auctions Australia to say this absolute gem had sold. Exactly one month prior, on the 19th Jun, we took it to their auction yard. This baby truly was one of a kind. It was among the last of it's model in Australia at the time, we had to go up to Brisbane to get it, and in conjunction with the team at Brisbane Isuzu we truly pulled out all the stops with this thing! Well, by 2008's standards anyway. ...Fibreglass non slip floor, lockable side and rear doors, freezer grade retractable curtains that can be placed at any point of the truck depending on load size, and of course the fridge! This thing had it all! And all that lasted for 11 years! Fun fact, in the time we had it, the brakes got done once, turbo replaced once, at 480,000kms the clutch got replaced up until then it had been on it's ORIGINAL clutch, and at 520,000 kms it was sold! It truly was a great look for Isuzu Australia Selling this thing truly was the #endofanera, it was by far and away the best truck we had. Believe me, it was regretable.

09.01.2022 Here's some night time photos from the repairs done to the Isuzu following major rear end damage occuring in an accident in 2014! 6 years ago already? Wow!! Also, we often forget just how good temperature control measures this baby had! Freezer grade retractable curtains, you didn't see that in trucks much back then! Big thanks to Cool Divider Systems and QTK Group for setting this baby up as well as you did!

09.01.2022 Sorry for the 2 posts in one day but we couldn't post about the old Safeway days without showing off some of the vehicles that used to deliver to them!! These Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia Sprinters are long gone now sadly, however in their prime they were regularly seen at Safeway stores around Melbourne! But also, Polar Bear Express (see signage), a job change, some new customers and a whole new outlook on transport was in many ways the beginning of S.D Thomas Transport & Lo...gistics! So in some ways, it's a throwback to where it all started! 08.01.2022 S.D Thomas Transport & Logistics, along with Kerry Logistics, will be moving to a state of the art cold storage facility in Laverton North Deliveries will no longer be accepted at our long time headquarters, 128-132 Fairbairn Rd Sunshine West, from Friday, 30 June 2018. All stock remaining in the warehouse will be moved to Laverton site for Monday deliveries. Our cold storage division will be based at 41-55 Leakes Rd, Laverton North from Monday 2 July 2018.
