13.01.2022 Last night we held our 1st montly face to face meetings since the recent relaxing of the virus restrictions. We held a Prints and Projected images competition.... We were unable to have a SAPF judge so Paul Pegler stepped up and did a good job with his comments. No images received a score. A discussion was held about our club competing the the 2020 Sixway Competition. Our club will be submitting entries. All financial members are invited to send images to Brian Peer for consideration. Brian will be sending a email to members in the next couple of days explaining details. The 2020 Sixway Competition will be Projected Images only. We also discussed a possible Club Trip to Gluepot Bird Reserve. Possible date Mid October. Once again thanks to all members who attended last night. Let's hope that we can continue to have regular club meetings, competitions and gatherings. In the meantime keep safe and keep this virus at bay.

01.01.2022 Howard Speed, the SAPF Historian delivered his final report at the 2020 SAPF AGM on Friday, 28th February. Not many people know that, Howard was a school teache...r in his early years when technical subjects were still taught. His teaching subjects were Carpentry and Photography. Howard also served in the Army Reserves as a Radio Operator. On his retirement Howard set off to see the world travelling to various places around the globe photographing with his trusty camera as he went. He became a member of not only the North Adelaide, yes you heard right, the North Adelaide Camera Club but also the Port Adelaide Camera Club Incorporated. For quite a few years he was a judge for the SAPF and a management committee member. His greatest love in photography was its history and he became the driving force behind the SAPF historic collection. He, along with a couple of helpers in Ron Heptinstall and Graham Taarnby, completed the compiling, cataloguing and digitising of the SAPF Permanent Collection this year. Howard is pictured below with his plaque as a thank you for his dedication to photography in South Australia. PS: Happy Birthday Howard Speed!! See more
