02.01.2022 A great end to the weekend with David and Eric completing the SDI solo course. The conditions were a bit average but they kept working and did the job. Well done guys.

01.01.2022 Can you teach Open Water in a backplate and wing? Can you teach neutral buoyancy from the start? Absolutely! And here is the proof! There has been a lot of chatter around this topic recently. This is photographic evidence of Instructor Trainer Fabio Leitao from Dive Spear and Sport teaching in the pool in a Halcyon Dive Systems Wing and long hose over the weekend. What level is this student you ask? This is a Scuba Discovery session with an 11 year old girl named Michell...e. This is her first 5 minutes breathing underwater. Within these first few moments below the surface, she was understanding the concept neutral buoyancy and performing skills comfortably in this position. We challenge you to take your teaching to the next level and join the conversation at SDI - Scuba Diving International as we examine this topic further. It's great to see centres using the SDI programs to take diving to the next level and congratulations to Michelle on not only overcoming her personal challenge of being comfortable underwater, but showing us how it's done well! What a superstar!
