It was received by Fr Greg Skulski SDS (Vice Superior of the Australian Salvatorians) and witnessed by Bishop Karol, other Salvatorian priests and a Lay Salvatorian who are gathered in Port Pirie for Bishop Karol’s installation tomorrow. 23.01.2022 Salvatorian youth prayer for Bishop-Elect Karol On 29th September Fr Karol Kulczycki, a Salvatorian priest, will have his episcopal ordination in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Trzebinia (Poland) the church in which he was ordained a priest in 1994. In October he will be installed as the 12th bishop of Port Pirie diocese in South Australia. Bishop-elect Karol has served in Australia for 20 years, including as regional superior of the Salvatorians in Australia, un...til he was elected Vice-Provincial of the Polish Province. As we are unable to show our support for Fr Karol by being present physically for these events, we ask that you take a moment to pray a rosary for him and his ministry. 01.01.2022 Bishops ordination..... On Saturday 1st August, Pope Francis appointed Fr Karol Kulczycki SDS, the former head of the Salvatorians in Australia, as the new bishop of the Diocese of Port Pirie in regional South Australia. Fr Kulczycki will become the 12th Bishop of Port Pirie including the bishops who led what was from 1887 until 1951 the Diocese of Port Augusta.... Fr Kulczycki’s episcopal ordination will take place on September 29, the Feast of the Archangels, in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Trzebinia the church in which he was ordained a priest in 1994. The ordination Mass, which will be celebrated in English, will be livestreamed through www.sdsau.com/bishop at 5pm Australian Western Standard Time on Tuesday 29 September.
