20.01.2022 SDS is proud to launch our Security Service Division. SDS has seen the need to provide security services to complement our current high quality High Risk, Medical, Training and Emergency Services. SDS will utilise our Veterans Employment Program to help transition veterans from the military to civilian employment and offer them an employment life cycle from Security Officer to Emergency Services Officer and even leadership positions within the organisation. SDS will have S...ecurity qualifications added to our scope for our RTO, which will give us the ability to acquire talented people and train them alongside our veterans members. This will also give us the ability to recruit in locations where our work is to be conducted ensuring that SDS is supporting local communities. SDS has received support from the Federal Representative for Sterling in Canberra, Vince Connelly, who visited our Center of Excellence a few weeks ago. https://www.linkedin.com//vince-connelly-mp-bb39256b_veter

09.01.2022 We would like to keep you updated on a special project SDS has been working on that is near and dear to our hearts. The world has seen unprecedented changes due to COVID 19. SDS has been fortunate that we were able to persevere, however, not without challenges for all SDS employees and the executive team. SDS was engaged to provide temperature testing as part of the Covid-19 spread prevention procedure. SDS decided to change the uniform of our temperature testers to Blue and Pink Hi Vis. Shirts were purchased as part of the Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer fundraising measures with Bisley workwear. Along with the purchase of these shirts, SDS will also donate a significant percentage of the funds raised from Temperature Testing Operations to these charities.

05.01.2022 Today marks the 12th anniversary of the formal apology made on 13 February 2008 by the Australian Government to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, in particular to the stolen generation. The National Apology was a historic acknowledgement of the past wrongs and the immense suffering experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. By acknowledging the suffering, we build a better understanding among the broader Australian community on the continui...ng impact of past actions on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today. Each year, the anniversary of the National Apology is recognised as a day of cultural significance. It is a significant step towards building a respectful relationship between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians and remains a momentous turning point that demonstrated the importance of historical acceptance in paving the road to reconciliation. On behalf of Safety Direct Solutions, I would like to acknowledge the significance of the National Apology as we continue our journey to become a culturally responsive and inclusive workplace.

05.01.2022 October is breast cancer awareness month. 2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way. The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer.
