23.01.2022 Australia Day celebrations.

20.01.2022 Dreams can come true if we all have the courage and patience to pursue them. For Luc and I, that was a theme for Friday evening's event. To have so many people attend, many more than we anticipated to listen to our story which started with a dream, held so much meaning to us. Thank you to everyone. Antarctica is so full of beauty and charm. But at the same time, in seconds it can throw so much temper, fury and roar at you. Yet even between her avalanches tumbling to th...e sea, the crackling sound of her ice beneath our skis, and the fierce sound of the chunks of glacier breaking off the mountains, Antarctica left us with a beautiful memory. A pristine silence. The kind of silence you’ll hear nowhere else but there. It's very difficult to describe. It's a peace that both Luc and I reflect on every day since arriving home. It's true when they say that the sound of silence from a land like Antarctica and of its beautiful sea life are without doubt two of the most soul-reviving things you can ever experience. We think so anyway

18.01.2022 AP - Report Day 24 What a day! Made it through the biggest challenge of the entire trip! ... Made it through the Harris Peak traverse! Will tomorrow be our last day on the ice? Cheers See more

13.01.2022 Breguet Glacier There were a few tears shed and a lot of love shared amongst the team when saying our goodbyes. It's amazing to think that most of us only met for the first time 6 weeks ago yet the friendship this experience has cemented among us will be enjoyed for a long time to come. The pictures of today are about our travel up the Breguet Glacier, until we reached the camp at the base of the ramp. The Breguet Glacier is 30 kms long and has several crevasse fields. It ends with the new route onto the Peninsula that we endeavoured to open. It took us 5 days to get through it due to poor visibility over a couple of the days. Enjoy !

13.01.2022 So today we are taking it easy and enjoying a day of wandering around Patagonia. It’s unusually warm here. We’re still feeling a little unsteady on our feet with sea movement and our body still quite tired and muscles are unusually tight. We are starting to go through all our kit and pack as our flight is rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. So excited to come home and give our boys a big hug and catch up with our family and friends. Now let’s catch up with the pictures. We thought we could share a few images from each phase of our journey and some videos here and there. So here we go !! Our arrival on the Peninsula.

11.01.2022 What a magnificent countryside we enjoyed yesterday around Patagonia. The drive was stunning. Today it's time to farewell this amazing place. There's definitely something special about Ushuaia. I have a feeling though we will meet again.. After breakfast, we are going to complete our interviews with Caroline for the preparation of the documentary. Exciting ! The pictures of today are about the landing of all our kit on the ice and establishing our first camp around 500m above sea level. Enjoy !

10.01.2022 The Ramp (Right Foot) Gosh what a feeling to be back home. From suiting up in our Antarctic gear and taking to the ice, to stepping back into the 37degrees heat of Perth’s summer. A visit straight to the beach was a must, and what a pleasure it was ! Diving back into the cool ocean waters of our beautiful Indian Ocean. Pure bliss. An instant relief for jetlag ! During our numerous flights back, we had plenty of time to select a few pictures of a crucial and difficult mo...ment of the journey which was the access to the plateau via the new route discovered by Phil and Luc. It was much bigger than we thought, the scale of everything was huge and the ramp was steep and long when pulling sledges. We had to do this route twice, once morning and then afternoon in a very strong sun. The exposure was great with big crevasses at the bottom. Our complete focus was necessary. It's a great feeling to open a new route. We have decided to call this passage the right foot. It has the same curves of a right foot and the large rock at the bottom, we have called the bunion ( becausePhil and Luc both have one on their right foot !!) Enjoy the pictures

08.01.2022 Hola ! Greetings from sunny Ushuaia after a 6 day crossing over the Drake. We wish we had a hard sailing tale to tell with our crossing however it was calm seas with very little wind. We saw a lot a wild life including amazing Fin whales. Very different to the way over. An opportunity to rest and recover after our month on the ice. In between our 3 hourly watch roster, we pretty much slept. Oh, I must mention the absolutely delicious menu Cath and Phil prepared for all o...f us on the boat. All the weight we'd lost we certainly started to put back on ! What a great support we've discovered on our Facebook page ! Thank you so much for following our journey. We are quite blown away with everyone's interest. Sounds like Vincent's daily posts were a hit. What a great storyteller he is. Thanks Vince for being our team's voice during this journey. You are a star ! His eyes are much better now. Posting from Antarctica isn't the easiest. After a long tiring day of skiing Vince still managed to find the energy to write a blog, charge up the battery, and send it across to our social media helpers over the other side of the world (Thor - US) and ( Ivy - Oz) to then distribute for us. Not a 5 min job that's for sure and the time differences didn't always allow for 'real-time' news. Thanks Thor & Ivy :) We'll spend the next few days here sorting out our kit, collecting all the pictures and videos, resting and preparing for our journey back home and reunion with our family and friends. Adios for now. We'll post much more photos for you to enjoy over the next few days x

04.01.2022 A week home already. The magical thing about being back home is that although it feels so great to head off for an adventure to chase your dreams, it feels even better to come back home. Having arrived back safely we are now taking some time to reflect on this epic expedition we’ve just experienced. Reaching our planned exit point and creating a new route to access the plateau was truly an achievement our team are so proud of. ...Continue reading
