24.01.2022 4th November, 2020 SE26 out and about today - couple of flybys 15:18 and 18:19 SE26 was heard close to nest all day, just hard to find on camera. Still flying around at treetop level.

20.01.2022 3rd November, 2020 - SE26 had an adventure this morning. https://youtu.be/PCluF-unyXg

19.01.2022 Saturday, 7th November, 2020 Huge thank you to Chris Bruce for pics of SE26 taken this morning. Approximately 12.5 metres above the ground, 11:06am, near the Disco. Video from Sunday 8th November, included in comments

17.01.2022 Meet some of the neighbours While looking for SE26 in the forest, we heard a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo really shrieking at something high in a tree. We finally spotted a small Ring-tailed Possum, clinging tight high in the canopy leaves. The cocky was joined by galahs, currawong, Lorikeets - all watching but not yelling. Why was the ringtail out in the day and why such a threat to the cocky?

17.01.2022 Could I remind all of our followers not to contact rescue organisations or carers to "rescue" our young eagles. Both have fledged and left the nest. We do not know where SE25 has flown. We have seen a wonderful photo of SE26 flying about and perching in the forest. Several of us have seen and heard SE26. We hope SE26 will continue to grow in strength and learn about LIfe. We acknowledge SE26 has issues with its leg, but as we have stated many times, we cannot intervene, nor could we catch SE26 now, flying free. Again, as stated many times, if either bird should be found on the ground, we have permission and are prepared to catch it for assessment. Please do not disturb SE26 in your desire to help - we do not want it to be frightened away from the security of home

13.01.2022 I mentioned that would be a fox hunt last night. The contractor wasn't able to remove any this time. The fox management takes place monthly - or more regularly if there is a need. Foxes are surprisingly common even in urban areas. Grey fur in the bigger pellet may be from the fox kit the eagles ate recently - the smaller one from the nestling

10.01.2022 9th November, 2020. Look who came back for breakfast! SE26 flew in behind the nest camera at 6:33am, then flew to nest for fish brought by Dad at 6:51am. Still there (at 9:15am), having a rest.

09.01.2022 I have been looking back at our nest feeding data. from hatch of SE25, until yesterday, Our parents have brought 310 prey items to the nestlings. Dad has provided 214, and Lady 96. 159 fish and 133 birds. That's a lot of prey. SE25 and 26 have a lot to learn. Most interesting prey? The fox kit and turtle - and a squid. More information to come

04.01.2022 Monday 9th November, 2020 - SE26 stayed on the nest all day. Was very excited when Lady brought in a fish for dinner.

03.01.2022 This is Naidoc Week - BirdLife Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Country on which we live and work, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise and are grateful for the immense contribution of Indigenous people to the knowledge and conservation of Australia's birds.

01.01.2022 Again, we ask everyone to read and understand the statement posted last week (shared again, below). Please do not contact various wildlife rescue organisations in Sydney area. They are not authorised to enter the reserve. Please be patient. We are complying with our approved strategy of non-intervention and watching closely. SE26 remains on the nest & nest tree and is safe, eating, getting stronger, while making short return flights to other limbs. ... We acknowledge SE26 has problems and have strategies in place to step in if required when all is authorised. If it is agreed by the authorising authority that it is safe and appropriate to intervene, we shall. Should SE26 fall from the nest/tree, there are arrangements in place to take it into care.
