25.01.2022 A big thank you to Glenda Douglass for hosting us on her property over the past few weeks. I can't wait to see this site in 5 years time. If you and your neighbours have a great landcare project in mind reach out!
25.01.2022 Sounds promising!
25.01.2022 Kim Boswell certainly knows a thing or two about #volunteering and #Landcare! She’s the brains behind the concept, and has served as a Land...care Facilitator, network president, volunteer and committee member. Today, Kim supports non-profit organisations to increase their income, reach and impact, through her business The Forever Agenda. She does this through a mixture of in person training and facilitation as well as online courses and coaching. We’re really excited to have Kim on board to present our very first next week. Kim will talk you through her step-by-step process, and even tell you how you can access one of her volunteer engagement courses for FREE! That’s how much she loves Landcare! If you’re interested in bringing your volunteer recruitment to the next level, this will be one webinar you won’t want to miss! 19.01.2022 Plant local plant species and help to provide much needed habitat , highways and food for our gorgeous wildlife. 650 local plants in, thank goodness for the late spring rain. 1000's of polygala seedlings have been removed from this site over the past 1.5 years. Last weekend we got to plant some local species back. ... Coast Gum, wallaby grass, correa's, poa, banksia, seaberry salt-bush and purple flags. # landcare #volunteers #landcare Victoria #Glenelg Hopkins #water crystals See more

09.01.2022 Plenty of this weed in our shire unfortunately. If your not sure where to start with your gorse control program then this presentation is for you.
08.01.2022 How many of these beauties have you seen this year? I have been lucky enough to see them all. Portland is full of diverse landscapes and there is so much we can all do to keep it this way! Protect your remnant bushland/s from stock, weeds and fragmentation.... Landcare is for everyone and anyone who wants to be involved.
05.01.2022 One of our beautiful local birds. I love it when you paint our local species Brett. Just beautiful! Celebrating and supporting what we have is so important. Gang -gang Cockatoos enjoy feeding on the seeds of endemic wattles and eucalypts. When they can't find these they turn to the berries, fruit, nuts and insects found on introduced hawthorn trees. Plant local endemic vegetation and support our local wildlife.
03.01.2022 Morning inspiration! #volunteers #landcare #weeds
02.01.2022 Roadside conservation work Interesting, similar to previous post/ article but perhaps more inline with some of the local groups / volunteers views and opinions. Food for thought!
02.01.2022 Yesterday I was deeply disappointed to come across this recent rock stack in a National Park in southern NSW. Advice from Wiradjuri elders, this is disrespectf...ul to country and is not our practice. The damage this causes to cultural artefacts, rock dependent flora and fauna, and natural aesthetics is irreplaceable. Please share as this is not a local phenomenon, it’s happening around the world and needs to stop. See more
