24.01.2022 First Emu Babies of the year! Yeah!!!! We flooded the water trough so the little ones for a drink too! Time to fill the little bowl as well from now on! ;-) They are sooooo cute!

23.01.2022 Hi five!12 days to go before we close our doors! 20 years of lease are coming to an end, so if you can, visit Exmouth and us one last time! Heaps of Turtles nesting and in the water to snorkel with! We still have a few rooms available over the Christmas to NYE period!

23.01.2022 A few highlights of yesterdays dive! Ornate Ghost Pipe Fish, Frog Fish, Banded Yellow Pipe Fish, White rare Nudie, mating Nudies, just to name a few highlights! Whilst the Whale Sharks are here and our season is in full swing, diving is not too bad either! ;-) We love our Nudibranchs and the explosion of colour!

23.01.2022 Yeah!!! The first 2 Whale Sharks spotted today in Exmouth! The first sharks of the 2017 season were spotted between South and North Passage and tomorrow the first operators will head over to the west side! Tonight is the Froth Craft Brewery opening, too! What a co-incidence! Let;s celebrate life and the arrival of the Whale Sharks tonight! Cheers!

19.01.2022 Big Shark Alert!!!!! Epic Whale Sharking yesterday! A massive 10m male, 8m female and a very happy "excited" 5m female Whale Shark, Peacock Mantis Shrimp, Dolphins, Shovel Nose Ray, Dugong, Tiger Shark, Lemon Shark, Leopard Baby Shark, Turtles and so much more! Ningaloo you've done it again! One of the best silhouette Whale Shark Pics of my career! So happy!

19.01.2022 Amazing Turtle season! These hatchlings came out mid day and were straight away attacked and killed by Sea Gulls! We managed to get a few of them into the water to safety before they were eaten or grilled by the sun and scorching hot sand! So cute and we hope that a few of these little fellas may return safe in the future to lay their eggs here!

16.01.2022 Four and a halve month left and it has started! Saying Good bye to our longest visiting and most loyal Guest! Ron has been visiting us 12 years running! He may visits Exmouth again in the future, but will from now on visiting Shark Bay. We acknowledged his support with a signed print on canvas, one of my earlier ones he loved! 09.01.2022 Sad news, only 3 Emu Babies left! Looks like we lost one over night. One was always limping behind and "playing up".... That might has cost his life. ;-( Anyhow, the remaining 3 are sooooo cute, well fed, quite healthy looking and dad is looking after them well!

09.01.2022 Our Ningaloo Reef Whale Shark Season 2017 is now in full swing! First 3 days in a row, 100% sightings.... also encountered were, Dugongs, a rare Ornament Eagle Ray, Dolphins and Turtles in the lagoon system! What a bonus! Whilst the days are hot, the water is nice, warm and clear! Prices are still low until Easter! If you have time now, call us and beat the busy time and save! 09.01.2022 Bad Luck found us again today! This machine found a main Telstra cable and cut all our phone, fax and internet lines! We are trying our best via mobile phones to run the business but we have no public internet for our guests! We expect this to be fixed by mid next week. So patience and even more workload for us! Hard to believe, we have no choice but to accept it and take this one one the chin again! Why it is so hard on this Base and why Defence somehow finds a way to stuff things up is beyond us! We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our guests! We are in this too ! ;-(

08.01.2022 Our last guest checked out! Jane Harder from Hawaii, was stationed here on the Nase on 1974 and ran the Krait Club! ( Officers Club ) What a fitting end to our business! So folks that is it! Last deed is to drop her off at the aiport and open the first leg! Part of the family is at Turquoise Bay, the other Part busy working, dismantling rooms, setting up for the farewell party tonight! Music will be set up soon and the pool is sparkling clean! Good by SBR! You were a pain in the back at times, but saved and protected us in Cyclones, floods and everything Mother Nature throw at us! 20 years! 04.01.2022 Last working day with customers! Tomorrow is just check out and paaaaarty! 20 years are over! An era coming to an end! Our home for 20 years the place we brought up these young ladies, battled the odds, the local competition, the elements, parts of the society and our Landlord for the best part of 18 years! We are a resilient, committed and happy Mob, I can tell you that much! We made enemies and friends! More friends I guess, with people from all over the world coming to cel...ebrate tomorrow night, the end of this chapter and a new beginning! Sea Breeze Resort, most locals have never seen the beauty of you! Most people never experienced the difference or understood the historic importance of the joint venture of Military and corporate business. The worlds first and only Hotel inside an active Naval Base! We were leading the accommodation industry in Exmouth, implemented the first shade sails, website, booking engine, free WIFI, free shuttle services, electronic door locks, world unique electric conversions of Frequency and Voltage to our power! We achieved 7 years running Awards of Excellence on Tripadvisor and therefor established ourselves in the top 10% of the world in customer service! No one believed in us, thought we were mad, lost it or gone troppo! Then they fought us, then they tried to break us and then we won! Thanks to Eske who was by my side all the way, our girls who are just so special and wonderful woman, to Nadja running the place and giving us our life back for the last 6 years and become our 4th daughter! Thanks to all the people who believed in us, supported us, encouraged us and were there in the dark days when we were almost broke! (4 times) It was not always smooth sailing! 03.01.2022 Eske and I are happy to inform you that we have joined forces with the Gateway Motel in Carnarvon! Kevin and Cindy just purchased our assets to replicate our successful studios in their Motel! We have entered into a win win agreement helping them with their rooms and business. They on the other hand take care of all transport and renovation of their rooms! This will ensure that we are all committed to make the best of our last 5 weeks remaining in business and be ready in Carnarvon for the new season! Thanks to all our family and friends for all the support and help offered and provided during the past couple of month!

03.01.2022 After closing our business yesterday we prepared for the best farewell party one could have asked for! Perfect weather, the most amazing friends and family gathering in the pool with music and the best vibe! We laughed and joked till 3am! So, Happy New Year to everybody! May 2018 will be the best year in our life!
