24.01.2022 Hi everyone! Some of you may be struggling to find the motivation to stay active at the moment. Run Down Under are offering a free 3 month virtual race 'Run Against the Virus' for new members to help fill the gap with no parkrun or organised running events taking place. Weekly prizes and encouragement provided! Check it out and sign up if you're interested. We would love to have some Seacliff Esplanade parkrunners to compete against https://www.facebook.com/1412966662254393/posts/2481263518758030/

23.01.2022 Check out parkrun Australia's new competition! Get out there for some activity tomorrow morning, take a pic, and upload as per the instructions on Facebook or Instagram! Good luck!

22.01.2022 Don't forget to #lightupthedawn tomorrow morning! Lest we forget

22.01.2022 Who would you choose?

20.01.2022 Any parkrunners out and about on the course, or in the area, please keep an eye out for this little fella!

19.01.2022 **Important notice** To enable our parkrun event to safely return we have had to make some changes to comply with local Covid requirements. To maximize the potential for social distancing, when we return on 21/11/20, we will be using our temporary alternative course. Whilst the turnaround points will remain the same, the start and finish points and the location the pre run brief is held will be moved. The pre run brief will now be held in the Kingston Park Coastal Reserve and... the start line will be adjacent to that (just past the foot bridge). The finish line will now be approx 200m further along also in Kingston Park Coastal Reserve. We are excited about this change as it is going to ease up a lot of the congestion experienced at the original finish line. Please continue to park where you normally would and please continue to be respectful of all guests at the Caravan park and other path users. It's getting closer!! See more

19.01.2022 This week we had just 14 runners complete 18 (not)parkruns. Gordon Anderson had the fastest male time with 26:41 and Jan Van Wyk had the fastest female time of 27:17. All the results can be found here! Stay active everyone!

19.01.2022 3 First Timers and 6 new PBs this week for (not)parkrun! Travis Stewart was the fastest male time at 22:40 and Jan Van Wyk again our first female finisher at 27:22. Love to see the pbs coming through! The days are starting to get longer again and looks like some good weather again for the next few days, perfect time to get out and complete (not)parkrun!

18.01.2022 Well the results are in from (not)parkrun Week 1. Last week 7 people represented Seacliff Esplanade parkrun with Kathryn Faggotter being the first finisher! An impressive time indicates that she has definitely been training and when parkrun returns she is set to smash her pb! Well done to all who logged a time. Our average participant rate is 198.5 and the highest number of participants at any Australian event for the 1st week of (not)parkrun was 33 - how many people can we get to represent our community this week?! Here is a link to full results. https://www.parkrun.com.au/seacliffesp/results/notparkrun/

15.01.2022 Couldn't have asked for a better day to get out for a walk or run along our beautiful coastline. Lots of parkrunners spotted between Seacliff and Glenelg - were you down there?! There is still time to log a (not)parkrun for the week. Weather is set to be the same tomorrow, so get out there, do your 5km, and log it on your profile.

14.01.2022 We are very grateful for the overwhelming response for volunteer offers for our first event back! That week is now full We would love to see some more names filling up the next few weeks! Volunteering is a great way to get started or to ease back into things. Some of the roles you can even volunteer and participate. Volunteering is easy and fun and they are integral to the success of each event. So please take a look at the roster, pick a role and a date, and then drop a comment below or pm us

13.01.2022 Results are in! Last week we had 22 parkrunners complete 25 (not)parkruns. Rod Gurr was again the 1st male finisher with a time of 22:08 and Yvonne Matthew was our female 1st finisher with a time of 26:34. Dont forget, you can complete the 5km anytime, anywhere! Then just log the time on your profile and make sure Seacliff Esplanade is your home event, and your result will appear on the weekly table

13.01.2022 We are counting down the sleeps until 21/11/20 when our parkrun community is reunited again. We can't wait to see you all! Whilst we will remain the same free and fun event, we will be operating slightly differently when we return. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the new Walker and Runner code.

13.01.2022 We enjoyed a lovely walk down the beach tonight, walking off some of the chocolate eggs consumed over Easter, watching the sunset and catching up on all things parkrun! Ran into a few fellow parkrunners from the community, great to see some of you! How was your Easter, have you all been keeping active? Tracy & Yvonne

12.01.2022 Did anybody get out for a run or a walk this morning?! The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day for some solo activity outside or a run on the treadmill for those who must be isolated indoors.

11.01.2022 As we prepare to return to parkrun we want everyone to know what to expect so over coming days we will be sharing with you any changes. Here is the new Volunteer Code which is part of the Covid Framework. All events will now be app only (goodbye ancient stopwatches!), sanitizer will be provided to all volunteers on arrival and as required, and our number of volunteers has increased slightly. We will now be aiming for one barcode scanner for every 50 runners/ walkers to get you scanned quickly and moving on! Please familiarise yourself with this and any questions let us know!

11.01.2022 A look back to some of our favourite memories at Seacliff Esplanade parkrun. We have had 85 events so far and over that time our amazing vollie photographers have taken some great pics. We would love you to flick through your collection and post your favourite memory below. If you don't have a pic, words are ok too!

10.01.2022 Watch this space, we will be back.

09.01.2022 Have you logged a time yet this week for (not) parkrun? If not you have until Sunday evening to do so and be included in this week's results and represent Seacliff Esplanade parkrun. Who's up for the challenge?
