19.01.2022 Lovely member Darinka Semelbauer has been busily creating this fabulous piece ..... ...this is my new relief mosaic piece... reflections of a snail glued with glow in the dark non toxic glue..much fun making it also layers of acrylic paint and T bags ....haha a mixed bag..... Thank you Darinka. Very inspiring.

17.01.2022 Will you be a voice for the Arts in our community? We are looking for as many supporters as possible to help us lobby for a Creative Community Hub in Sorell. A place and a space for those of us who love to create. A place to learn, teach, inspire, connect. Sport has been the main focus for specialist facilities for many years and now, after many decades of lobbying, we feel it is high time that the Arts get a look in. Who is with us? Will you send your positive, inspiring, most brilliant creative message that you support the Arts to our Council and support the idea for a Creative Community Hub at 45 Cole Street Sorell? By this Tuesday..... Not rushing you or anything...

16.01.2022 Just a quick note to say thanks to all supporters during this time. You have all been marvellous. We will be continuing to pursue a future venue for we creatives and the community. More to come soon ......we'll keep on keeping on but unfortunately this particular site seems to be lost. Such a shame as it was an ideal spot.

There will be no Show & Tell this month due to the 8 Ball Club now back at the Sorell RSL on Wednesdays but don't forget our major event for SEA this year The Sorell ART Acquisition prize exhibition is on November 28 / 29th so please get along to that at the Sorell Memorial Hall if you can and tell your friends. We will send out an invitation to our SEA members soon for our Christmas Lunch or Dinner Gathering (Venue & date to be confirmed)

03.01.2022 WE ARE PERFORMING.....at long last. 5/6/7 November. Sorell Memorial Hall at 7pm each night. Social distancing rules in place so only 60 tickets for sale for each night to a fantastical VARIETY SHOW.........with guest artists from Act You Age. Tickets ($20 no concessions) for sale only at the Sorell News Agency.....buy now and secure your seat. Sooooo great to get SOS going again.....See you there. YAY!!!! Lets have some fun.

01.01.2022 Sorell Council invites you to attend an Arts & Cultural Forum and share in contributing to the achievement of a Community Cultural Centre for Sorell. Please join us on Friday 30th October, from 10am 1.00pm in the Sorell Memorial Hall, 47 Cole Street Sorell. The forum will include:... Positioning the Plan for A Community Cultural Centre for Sorell. Including a site visit to the Precinct and the Sorell Railway Carriage Shed with Heritage Consultant Lucy Burke-Smith. Stories from local artists in the community. A Panel discussion, with guest participants, sharing their ideas about how we create a successful destination that brings the arts, culture, history, natural environment and people together, to enjoy and understand Sorell.
