08.01.2022 You might remember Marge as the doe who I played midwife for a little while back as she was having a little trouble delivering one of her kids. Anyway, Marge has taken to following me around the yards as I feed them. Early this week, I was cleaning up the old branches in the different yards to put out on the clay pan. I got to Marge's yard and she walks around with me as I am tidying up her yard. I was thinking to myself, What a lovely doe, trying to show that’s she’s gr...ateful for me giving her a helping hand. Oh how naive I was to think she was following me as a way to say thanks! As I am bend over to pick the last of the branches, I am struck from behind by an almighty blow! I stand up and look around for my attacker only to see Marge looking back at me. Surely not, I think to myself as I go to bend down to pick the last branch up. I was met with a second blow just as I had grasped the bare gidgee branch. There’s no doubt who my attacker is now.
