25.01.2022 It’s been a bit of an upside down year, so our gingerbread men have decided to stand on their heads and become reindeer. Hope you enjoy our little start to our Christmas celebrations.

21.01.2022 Hi there Facebook friends. Just a little heads up on what’s going on here at the train. From this week we are back to opening till 4pm on weekdays but still 1pm Saturday until seated dining is back. Fresh this morning is a new batch of our vegetarian lasagna for those who haven’t sampled this one yet it is roast pumpkin with spinach and ricotta and in process for just after 12:30 will be our sweet and sour chicken with rice take home meals.

18.01.2022 Wow Christmas is so close and we only have a few days till we close until the 4th January. Customers have been asking for take home meals so our lovely cook has made Nasi Goring with Chorizo. Not vegetarian this time but very tasty non the less. As always limited number of these available

17.01.2022 Something new to the prep fridge is a local popular meal we have been doing for months and you may not have known! Yep Pizza subs done on a focaccia slice with pizza sauce, cheese, ham, salami, onion and capsicum all grilled up and very tasty. The second picture is our take home meals which is Beef Goulash with rice.

14.01.2022 As expected our staff have come back with negative results on there Covid19 test. Basically coughs and sore throats which are winter norms. So we will open in the morning but a little under stocked and staffed but great to be there. Sorry for any inconvenience but as I’ve said many times we are here for our community and if that means closing for a day or two to ensure safe operating for our staff and customers then this is much more important than a few sales.

14.01.2022 Today’s lunch special is slow cooked bbq pulled pork rolls with our coleslaw. These are Texan style with bbq sauce on a fresh crispy roll. Will be ready from 11:30.

13.01.2022 One of our Crape Myrtles are in bloom and the second one is not far behind it. Let’s hope that the heat doesn’t hurt them.

10.01.2022 Thanks to all that called in and purchased the Singapore noodles yesterday. They were obviously well received considering that a lot of people returned to work after a break over Christmas. (I won’t call it a summer break) So today we are already preparing curried sausages and rice as our takeaway meals.

08.01.2022 So we decided to go a little old school today and have done our slow cooked roast beef which of course is available in a roll with gravy. Or if you like we’re happy to do a serving with gravy and salad. Also due to request I’ve started a new batch of our sticky date pudding which should be ready later today. Stay dry out there as Melbourne’s weather continues to surprise us.

08.01.2022 As the can states it’s a Classic Coke Spider so if you’re wondering yes we do have spiders along with the fruit smoothies, Fraus Frappes, Milk Shakes, Iced coffees and chocolate to complement our range of juices and kombucha.
