08.05.2022 This week we are celebrating NAIDOC week and will be taking the opportunity to continue to provide opportunities for our children to learn about the Aboriginal Culture and create a culturally inclusive environment. This week we will be reading lots of books including "respect" by Aunty Fay Muir and "Tom Tom" by Rosemary Sullivan. We will be looking closely at how out country was used by Aboriginals before colonisation and the changes that have occurred since.

26.04.2022 This week we will be celebrating National Reconciliation Week. This is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The dates for National Reconciliation week remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision. We will be using this week to talk to the children about the history of Indigenous Australians and the challenges they have faced and how we can continue to move towards reconciliation as a community.

15.04.2022 Today we hosted our Biggest Afternoon Tea to help raise money for the cancer council. We did have to change it to take away only to meet the current restrictions but it was still a great afternoon. The children helped to make some of these delicious treats (hands were washed) and while the Donations have yet to be counted, It looks like it will be well over $500! A massive thank you to all our families and staff who helped make this day a success!

11.04.2022 The educators at Seaford Early Learning and Kinder celebrated Hoodieup day today to show our support for people with autism, we all rocked our favourite hoodies and read our big Autism book to the children, teaching them about diversity and respect for others. It was a great day!

12.01.2022 After another year of collecting breadtags today we finally dropped them off to the collection point, another great haul and so many pieces of plastic that would normaly run the risk of ending up in our waterways and beaches. Thank you to everyone who has been saving their breadtags, please keep bringing them in!
