Unfortunately we haven't had enough new members join us this year to be able to continue running playgroup so we will be closing down this term. 01.01.2022 New Members Info Welcome For over two decades Seaforth Playgroup has been a haven of fun and support for local families on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are a non-profit, volunteer led playgroup with play sessions on every Wednesday 9.30-11am during school term. Our playgroup caters for children from newborn up to preschoolers with a mix of ages attending each week, and provides a relaxed environment for you and your children to make new local friends.... There is a wide range of toys available as well different hands-on activities including craft, puzzles, painting, playdough, and sensory boxes. New activities are organised each week and all material are provided. Our facebook page is a good place to check out previous weeks’ activities and keep up to date on upcoming events. Cost Each casual session costs $5 per family or $40 upfront for the term. Playgroup NSW Membership (PGNSW) You can attend TWICE as a visitor. By your third visit you must join PGNSW as that provides insurance for you and your child and is essential for the health and safety of everyone who attends. PGNSW Membership is $39 for the year. You can apply in just a few minutes by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. Format -On arrival everyone helps out with setting up toys, please feel free to have a look through the toy cupboard and bring out toys that might interest your child. -The activities tables are available for craft/play from 9.30-10.30am. -At around 10.30am all the children sit down to have morning tea. Please bring a piece of fruit to share. We take turns volunteering to wash up cups/plates/clear kitchen. -Everyone helps pack away before closing at 11am. In nice weather the children continue playing outside in the playground. If you're a new mum or dad looking at what's available to do, or have recently moved into the area then playgroup is the ideal way for you and your children to meet others and learn through spontaneous play.
