25.01.2022 Hey Language Learners, It's been a while! We're back with another language lesson that we made for the wurrriyukwayuwa (children). Today, we'll be learning "Ya...ka" which translate roughly to "Here is..." for Y-class nouns in Anindilyakwa. Enjoy, and remember to turn on captions for subtitles!

22.01.2022 Seagrass Early Learning and OSHC services would like to send out a huge cheerio and salute to all of our wonderful Fathers, Grandfathers and special people in the lives of all of the children at Seagrass. We hope you are all having and celebrating a wonderful Father's Day! "A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society". Billy Graham

19.01.2022 Our OSHC Crocs had a great time last week making and baking cookies for Father’s Day. It was a great opportunity for the children to practice their baking skills, teamwork, literacy and maths whilst reading the recipes. Some of our flavours were, choc peanut butter, chocolate chip, vanilla freckles and of course rainbow sprinkles. We hope everyone enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed making them together. From the OSHC Team

05.01.2022 To all the wonderful Seagrass Educators, Thank you for loving the children like you do - they adore you and we all adore you back and appreciate the hard work you do in every day. You care, nurture and educate all of the children and if you realise it or not, you are shaping the next generation of children who will grow to one day care for us! From the Management Committee, the families and of course the children ... we appreciate the work that you do and thank you from the top and bottom of our hearts !

01.01.2022 We are so excited to share with you, our new Promethean Interactive Board. It may look like a gigantic TV, but rest assured it most definitely is not. There are many interactive educational apps we will be adding to encourage your child's learning, curiosity and movement. On the first day, the Marlins used it to learn some moves through Les Mills' "Born to Move" videos. The Marlins also did some interactive colouring in, just to become familiar with how the board works. T...he children absolutely loved it and have been asking for us to bring out the "big board" again! We are extremely fortunate and grateful to have been donated the Promethean Interactive Board by Trackspares Heavy Equipment Parts; with many thank you's going to Tim Edwards (Business Development Manager) for helping make this happen for our children at Seagrass. We look forward to the many learning experiences and opportunities the board will provide and sharing them you in the future.
