It is amazing to get up pre-dawn and go out on the water for some fitness work or to welcome the sunrise to our shores. This is a very difficult time for viability on the water and kayaks & surfskis are very hard to see. Sydney Harbour is a 'working harbour' and there are many commercial boats out there pre-dawn as well.... BE BRIGHT BE SEEN when you are out on your kayak or surfski during this time. YOU MUST USE LIGHTS - A bow light (solid white light); ideally in a 1m staff that can be see for up-to 2km. It is also a good idea to wear a headlight. > Most importantly, make sure you are very aware of the conditions.
