17.01.2022 These two heroes doing what they loved one stormy day in Port Campbell. I captured this image in January 2018 during Pelican patient pickup training inside Port Campbell Bay. Andy and Po were my mentors and trainers for my many years at Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club, Po helped me achieve my Bronze medallion in 2015, Andy was my trainer for my IRB Crewmans in 2016 and Po assessed me for my crewmans, 2018 Po and Andy helped train me for my IRB drivers and without their su...pport and wealth of knowledge of the surf they passed on to me I wouldn't be the Patrol Captain or Lifeguard I am today, all the knowledge I attained off Po helped me succeed in getting a position as a Paid lifeguard with the Australian Lifeguard Service in the Western Region of Life Saving Victoria and finally the unforgettable training runs down the coast in the Pelican with Po and Andy commentating the history along the way and explaining the dangers of certain areas and the rescues they conducted and how they conducted them safely. This truly shows how much of a tragedy it is to lose these two amazing people and shows that no matter your training and knowledge of the area freak accidents can happen to anyone.
