17.01.2022 UPDATE: As per the government’s instructions hairdresser’s are to remain open at this time. I will be working as long as I am able. Please if you can, support small businesses everywhere. Your HAIR is IMPORTANT but so is your HEALTH... During this trying time it is important to not only practice good hygiene but we also need to look after ourselves and a bit of pampering always makes the world of difference. I am open my normal working hours and have taken steps to introduce extra cleaning practices daily, and between each client, for the health and safety of all my customers. In addition, I would ask that clients assist by following the measures below, for your health and that of the broader community, especially our more vulnerable citizens. Wash your hands with soap and water on arrival at the salon and before you leave. I will have liquid soap and paper towel available for you here. Alternatively, you can use hand sanitiser, but you will need to bring your own as I have been unable to procure any because of the panic buyers. Avoid touching your face. If you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into your inner elbow or into a tissue and dispose of it into a bin. If you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay at home and/or seek medical advice. Or, if you have been overseas, please self-isolate for 14 days as per government regulations. If you do need to cancel an appointment due to illness, please let me know at your earliest convenience. For any of my older clients (60+) who are worried about the virus, I may be able to offer you a private appointment, whereby you will be the only one in the salon. This would depend on appointment availability but at the moment it is unusually quiet due to the ongoing situation. Please contact me if you would like to make a private appointment and I will do my best to fit you in. For everyone else, I only ever have one other client here if you are having a colour, or if you are just having a haircut you would sometimes be here alone anyway. Like myself, I’m sure some of my clients have seen a drop in their businesses or working hours due to the current situation, and our incomes have been affected. I can work with you to offer services that may save you money if you have concerns in this area. For example, you may wish to wash your own hair before you come and/or forgo a blow dry in order to save some money. For those needing colour, we could look at doing the part and hairline regrowth, or head foils instead of head, again saving some money. While the threat of contracting the virus is relatively low on the Sunshine Coast at present, let’s work together to try and stop its spread, while still maintaining our normal daily lives as much as possible.

10.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY The government have decided to keep hairdressing salons and barbers open, in direct contradiction to their own social distancing rules. I have no choice but to remain open at this time. I have been told by many people that I do have a choice and can close the salon if I wanted to. While this is true, I am not entitled to any government assistance at this time and, as such, would have no income at all. So, I have implemented extra ste...ps, on top of the stringent cleaning practices I have already implemented, to try to keep myself, my clients, and the community safer as the Coronavirus rapidly spreads throughout the country. Effective immediately: All clients will be required to wear a mask for the duration of their appointment, as I will. As I am unable to get any masks to provide to you, you will have to bring your own. If you do not have a mask, or are unable to get one, I’m sorry, but you will not be permitted to get your hair done. Clients will also be required to wash their hands thoroughly upon entering and leaving the salon. You may use hand sanitiser if you wish, however, you will need to bring your own as I have been unsuccessful, for the last month, to buy any. If you feel unwell, even slightly unwell, PLEASE STAY AT HOME. If you have been in contact with anyone who has recently arrived from overseas, PLEASE STAY AT HOME. If you have been in contact with anyone who has COVID19 or is suspected to have it, PLEASE STAY AT HOME. I will not be serving any beverages during this time, including water, so please bring your own if you wish. Further information will be posted on the front door and inside the salon outlining the best practices to ensure the safety of us all. Remember, as per government advice, to wash your hands regularly, practice social distancing, and please stay at home, unless you have to work or go to the supermarket, doctor, or pharmacy

06.01.2022 Flashback to around 1986 or 7 doing my mothers hair. She didn’t look too happy about it. And really , I should have be concentrating on doing something about my hair. Oh the 80’s!

02.01.2022 Business as usual, with a difference. With active cases of Covid19 very low on the Sunshine Coast, it is almost back to business as usual in the salon, with some precautions still in place. Social distancing rules still apply, and I can only have a maximum of 2 people here at any one time. Please do not bring a friend, partner or family member with you, unless they also have an appointment. Hand washing facilities or hand sanitiser is available for your use when you arrive, and the salon is being sanitised regularly throughout the day. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell for everyone’s safety. Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces at your next appointment.
