19.01.2022 What are you doing to enhance your wellbeing this weekend? Spending time with loved ones & getting outdoors are two of our favourite ways to relax & bring some calm after another busy work week. Although popping in to Bunnings tends to also be on the list of ways to unwind over the weekend! Paint swatches & plants?! Yes please! Bringing aspects of the things you enjoy doing into your space is a great way to help enhance the wellness of your home. We love the way this ...living area is styled with personal belongings to give a great understanding of the person or people that live there. Over the next few weeks we are going to be exploring the Patterns of Biophilic Design and how to easily incorporate them into your space while retaining your personal style. @joybird #SeaofIdeasDesign #biophilicdesign #biophilia #biophilicarchitecture #natureasinspiration #interiordesign #wellness #wellbeingthroughinteriors #holisticwellness
18.01.2022 When we consider enhancing our health & wellbeing, our first thoughts tend to head towards eating healthier & perhaps exercising more. It may even include thoughts of yoga & meditation. What we rarely consider when it comes to our health is our home & the indoor spaces within which we spend 90% of our lives. With the human biological need to connect with nature & to have safe, nurturing spaces to rest & recuperate, the principles behind biophilic design are becoming more obv...ious in their importance every day. While spending more time at home over the last six months have you found yourself becoming more restless & lacking in energy? Get in touch & let’s look at how we can enhance your space using biophilic design to improve your emotional, physical, & spiritual health. #SeaofIdeasDesign #biophilicdesign #biophilia #natureasinspiration #interiordesign #wellness #wellbeingthroughinteriors #holisticwellness
17.01.2022 Love this post. Does your office space utilise biophilic design?
17.01.2022 I love the feeling of bringing home a new plant. Now for the weekend to restyle & make some room for the newest addition Did you know that Boston ferns have productivity-inducing properties? Perhaps they should be a fixture in all workspaces! As well as purifying the air, their feathery leaves bring an instant rainforest vibe adding a level of natural beauty to any space. ... They are also very easy to care for and the perfect low maintenance plant for anyone new to indoor greenery. #SeaofIdeasDesign #biophilicdesign #biophilia #natureasinspiration #interiordesign #wellness #wellbeingthroughinteriors #holisticwellness
17.01.2022 Much more interesting that your standard office tower.

13.01.2022 Pattern 3 | Non-rhythmic sensory stimuli In the words of Terrapin "a space with good non-rhythmic sensory stimuli feels as if one is momentarily privy to something special, something fresh, interesting, stimulating & energizing. It is a brief but welcome distraction." Now that may not clearly define the 3rd pattern of biophilic design, but surely it makes you want to know more!... Leaves rustling in the breeze, birds chattering, the scent of jasmine in the spring air, these are examples of the unpredictable motions we find in nature that we aim to recreate using Pattern 3. By opening a window & allowing the breeze to create gentle movement in plants & curtains, placing items in front of light sources that create a dappled light effect in a room, and even having an indoor water feature or fish tank that creates ripples of movement, we can include & recreate the natural stimuli that unobtrusively take our attention for just a moment allowing us to replenish from mental fatigue & stressors during focused tasks. Are you interested in knowing more about biophilic design & including elements of nature in your space? Make sure you follow our account because we'll be sharing more on the patterns of biophilic design, as well as how to incorporate nature in to you life to enhance your holistic wellness. 11.01.2022 Love this article from ELLE Decor, I'm definitely leaning towards yellow highlights in my home as we get in to spring. Do you prefer to have several bright, cheerful colours popping through, or tend to stick to just one?
06.01.2022 It’s Decor & Design and AIFF 360 time! Did you attend any of today’s seminars? We absolutely loved @kathrynmireland’s seminar this morning & the takeaway message of designing a home as a place to live, not just something that looks like it’s from the pages of a magazine. And her use of textiles & colour! Amazing! Love the idea of never being afraid to be bold. ... #SeaofIdeasDesign #biophilicdesign #biophilia #biophilicarchitecture #natureasinspiration #interiordesign #wellness #wellbeingthroughinteriors #holisticwellness

02.01.2022 Think of the peaceful feelings that wash over you as you hear the waves of the ocean or the gentle trickle of a creek Research has shown that landscapes that include a body of fresh, unpolluted water elicit a higher restorative response as well as prompt improvements in mood & self confidence. 01.01.2022 Stunning & sustainable home design in California. While the home itself was built long before social distancing became a way of life, it is incredible how the home is now perfect for the new normal that we have had to embrace. With 2020 the way it has been, we've been hearing a lot of people talk about how happy they will be when 2021 hits... but with that happening in only 10 weeks (& 2 days!) & parts of the world in a worse situation than they were in March of this year,... is 2021 going to be hugely different to how things are now? How has this year affected your outlook on life? Have you reconsidered priorities, changed careers, focused on new ideas? Health & wellness have been reiterated as the biggest focus for many of us & with staycations more common than vacations now is the perfect time to look at how you can make your home support your health, wellness & wellbeing. Send us a DM or head to our website & let's discuss your 2021 plans. See more
