10.01.2022 And just like that, its spring! This beautiful Southern Right Whale mother and calf were spotted just over a week ago, sheltering in the pristine shallows ...near Visit Tathra. There are less than 270 Southern Rights in the south eastern Australian population and only a few calves born in NSW waters each year, and we feel very lucky to have had this mum and bub visit us this season. For the next three months, the Humpback Highway will be full steam ahead, so head for our headlands and lookouts, and dont forget your binoculars!
