25.01.2022 Monty’s leaf update! On the left is the very first day we saw evidence of a new leaf emerging. We were checking every day and one of us was even measuring with a ruler to note any changes as it seemed to be taking A LONG FLIPPING TIME to see any new growth. 23.01.2022 FIDDLE LEAF FIG- Ficus Lyrata By far our most sought after plant and easily the one we receive the most about! Fiddles are notoriously needy in the indoor plant world. But, we promise that once you get to know what your baby likes and dislikes it’s a piece of cake! Provide your Fiddle with lots of bright indirect sunlight. Harsh direct sunlight will scorch its leaves. ... Water throughly when topsoil is dry, you can stick your finger into the soil to feel or invest in a moisture meter. This should be roughly every 10-14 days or so and may be even less frequently during winter months. The Fiddle Leaf Fig is a fast growing plant and can grow up to 3 meters tall indoors under the right conditions. Most of its growth occurs during the spring and summer months. Common problems with the Fiddle Leaf Fig Yellow/brown leaves starting at the CENTRE of the leaf. - overwatering and/or not enough sunlight - allow for soil to dry out completely. This can take up to 2-3 weeks. Check the soil’s moisture through the drainage holes at the bottom. You can stick a wooden chopstick or skewer into the bottom of your pot to check. Yellow/brown leaves starting at the EDGE of the leaf - under-watering - give your plant a good soak. Pop it in your shower with a tray underneath. This will allow it to be watered from the bottom while getting a good soaking from the top at the same time. Leaf drop - over-watering OR PSYCH ... under-watering - leaves dropping, from the base of the plant or from all areas of the plant - fiddles that have been overwatered will drop their bottom leaves, while fiddles that have been under watered will generally drop leaves from anywhere on the plant. - follow instructions above for overwatering or under watering See more

Liam has been running Seasonal Service doing garden design and maintenance for the past three years, while I, Tess (his number ONE fan) have been cheering him on from the sidelines. When Liam and I met, our love of native gardening, indoor plants, and home grown food was the first thing that we realised we ha...d in common.
