We have a huge capacity for loving others and being loved by others. Wife: You never say you love me! ... Husband: I said I love you when I proposed, if anything changes, I’ll let you know Have you heard this joke? For some people it’s not a joke, because they never hear these words from the people they care about. For me growing up, saying I love you was as foreign as speaking Martian. However, my husband and his family were open in showing affection, and when raising our children, I made a point of verbalising my love for them so there was never any doubt. It is lovely to hear these words echoed back to me not only by my children, but also their children. Whilst it’s true that actions speak louder than words those three little words I love you" speak volumes as well.
