23.01.2022 Well it was lovely to spend Christmas and the new year at Seaspray Beach House to not only attend to some much needed maintenance, but also some much needed rest and relaxation and visits from family. Jobs ticked off were: Brush cutting... Replacement of outdoor cantilever umbrella re-staining our huge outdoor deck Removal of top rails to sand, re-stain and re-coat with fresh varnish replace fly screens new shower head We experienced a power outage due to a pole catching fire, a visit from Santa courtesy of the volunteer fire brigade and lots of visits from very friendly wallabies (one with a Joey), a blue tongue lizard and two Echidna's but no dolphins this time. The larger lizards which are very common around the Beach House are called Mountain Dragons and are harmless and very friendly if you can catch them! Gorgeous weather most of the time and a beautiful full moon! Our website has been down over the Christmas break but we should have it back up and running next week. 12.01.2022 As owners we enjoyed two weeks here at Seaspray Beach House undertaking maintenance besides enjoying some awesome weather. The downside of being right on the coast line is the salt and spray which affects anything man made over time. If its made of metal then it's going to rust and break down in a relatively short period of time. We had to build a new pump shed door which was only 9 years old as it had rotted out. Other maintenance issues ticked off were re-screwing down t...he timber deck, painting, cleaning salt and sand off almost everything, de cobwebbing and brush cutting. What we enjoyed most was making friends with the native wildlife which would come and visit most evenings and mornings and the ever changing conditions of Bass Strait. Very calm usually of the morning and quite choppy in the afternoon. We wish all upcoming guests a happy and relaxed stay in our little piece of paradise. As we will be on the mainland this coming Easter this will be the first year that you can now book for a get a way.

07.01.2022 These are the visitors we had while spending the long weekend at our beach house. Some of the wallabies we have visit are very friendly, the dog belongs to the neighbour and is also friendly and playful. We experience amazing sunsets, unfortunately we are not up early enough to see the sun rise. We also spotted whales frolicking on their way further north, not close enough to get decent photos but could see them breaching. No dolphins this time and thankfully no snakes.
