29.04.2022 Hi everyone, someone has asked what we do about seat covers for cars fitted with seat mounted side airbags. Great question! We have installed the same computerised stitching machine that the car companies use to make their seats, so that the seam of the seat cover splits just like the car seat seams do, allowing the air bag to properly do its job. We then sent our seat covers off to the CSIRO so they could test the seams and ensure that they operate correctly. Now every seat cover we make for cars with seat mounted airbags gets computer checked to ensure the stitching meets the correct standards. Photos below show our Rough Country Canvas and Silver Label seat covers being tested.
