12.01.2022 Seaview held its annual Run4Bibles event yesterday. It has been a great success with students enjoying the fun run for a good cause. Students are invited to bring along their sponsor money towards Bible League next week. Mr Basson also completed the required laps, running with the high school students. He is thankful for all sponsorships received to date and says that a few more sponsorships would help ease the aftereffects of aching limbs after his exhaustive efforts! All students are to be congratulated for the manner in which they competed and supported others. Thank you also to the parents who were able to attend.
11.01.2022 Please circulate as you see fit.
11.01.2022 Please forward far and wide. Thanks for your support!
07.01.2022 Seaview Christian College celebrated its fourth Annual Awards Night on Thursday evening. The 2019 Annual Awards Night also provided the perfect opportunity to declare the magnificent newly completed Gym Complex officially open. All students from Reception - Year 8 received recognition. Congratulations to all the Special Award recipients and newly elected leaders. A huge thank you to all the volunteers throughout the year as well as the Seaview Christian College families for your support. The goodwill and celebratory atmosphere contributed to the palpable 'Seaview Effect' on the night. With a single stream Reception class and introduction of Year 9 in 2020, we look forward to next year with anticipation.
07.01.2022 On Friday the R-3's enjoyed a fun filled 'Camp Out Day' at school. They all got to wear tie-died shirts they had created, while spending the day doing various activities, such as Pet Rock Painting, Boat Making, Scavenger Hunting, Musical Mayhem and Delicious Biscuit Decorating. This is not mentioning the Waterplay and Gym Games! The day was rounded out with the Yr 2-3's having a sleep over held in the Gym. They got to share a yummy meal of spaghetti cooked by Mrs Hill, even more games and fun in the gym with Mr Scholz while grooving to some music, then rounded off with a movie while snuggled in their sleeping bags before heading home after breakfast Saturday morning.
07.01.2022 On Monday morning the Year 7-9 students enjoyed an excursion to Mambray Creek, located in Mount Remarkable National Park. Ranger Brett Cochlan explained the local geology to the students after which the students embarked on a 2,4km short walk focusing on a variety of rocks and rock formations.
07.01.2022 On Friday, the Minister for Energy and Mining, Hon Dan van Holst Pellekaan visited Seaview Christian College to discuss water as a natural resource with the Year 7-9 students. The Minister was also presented with a set of persuasive texts that were compiled by the Yr 3-4 class addressing the need to reduce the use of plastics. Students really enjoyed this special time of interaction with the Minister. A special thank you to Dan van Holst Pellekaan for his inputs on Thursday in our school community, but also a sincere thank you for his contributions in the wider community.
