20.01.2022 Lets face it, what we put on our fruit and vegetables and the soil that surrounds them is what ends up in our food and then in our bodies. I'm not sure that I want to be eating some stuff that came out of a place like this. This is the Qatar Fertiliser Company Mesaieed Plant, the largest single site producer of ammonia and urea in the world. It produces around 5.6 million tonnes annually.

19.01.2022 I had a long garden at the front of the house where literally even grass or weeds wouldn’t grow, it was just hard bare dead dirt. I dug it and added Seaperia Meal, Organic Life fertiliser (like Dynamic Lifter, it’s chook poo based) and some dirt from around our chook pen (just because I know its alive already) and dug it all through. Then I got a bucket and put in a small shovel of the composted stuff out of the bottom of the worm farm plus a couple of teaspoons of Seaperia... Soluble and filled the bucket with water, mixed it and just poured that brew on. Then I didn’t even wait a month until things got going like they say you should, I just planted straight in there with bush basil, lavender, thyme and a few others that I know the wallabies won’t eat. Then I put mulch on top held down with some fairly large sticks. I tried to find ones that were already a bit rotten and had some nice fungus working away on them (the sticks also stop the chooks scratching it all back up). It doesn't matter how dead your soil is, with a little love, some stuff that's alive and some regular Seaweed to help nature along it will grow stuff! See more

Add Seagreens to a whole food diet and you can feel the difference. As we age it can be the difference between suffering through or enjoying our later years. Do you work at looking after your gut?

16.01.2022 Our mates at Seed to Sow are making a fantastic Foliar spray using Seaperia Seaweed and coffee grounds. I gave it a go on my Nodding Violet which was really struggling. This is the before and after - I gave it 3 sprays over 3 weeks. Pretty good stuff I'd say!

Seaweed is one of the most researched organisms on our planet. There have been thousands of studies over many decades specifically testing its effect on animals and plants, not to mention all of those who are researching seaweed as an alternative bio-fuel and plastic, farming for carbon sequestration... it just goes on and on!" 07.01.2022 How did you like that Australian Story program about Charles Massy? Regenerative farming in one form or another is the way of the future. Whether we have thousands of acres or a house in the suburbs we can all start our own Regeneration. Like Fiona from National Farmers Federation said in the program, it is a long hard road. But you know what? Seaweed can be the first step. If your property is dependant on synthetic inputs you can't just change overnight, that would be crazy ...and actually impossible. But with just a couple of sprays of Seaperia over a growing season you can start to reduce the dependance. Seaperia helps plants make better use of available nutrients, which means you can gradually lower your fertiliser input. Small steps towards a big bright future. And this video... the only thing that saves these hillsides is the fact that we are in the Wet Tropics and so the soil is always covered with grass. But where is the bio-diversity? See more

06.01.2022 Here's an interesting way to use Seaperia Meal thanks to Savour Soil Permaculture. They collect seeds from all their plants that pollinators and good bugs love, then store in a jar with Seaweed meal and dry sand. Next season just shake the jar and sprinkle out. It makes the seed easy to spread evenly, plus it has the added mineral nutrition from the seaweed. Happy soil, happy bugs... happy people!

"Have you ever thought of how frogs are affected by humans desire to kill insects in gardens and on farms... frogs are our friends and their food source is generally insects, so we need to be sensitive to their needs if we want them to survive, for they are the barometer to our Planets health. Spraying insecticides on your plants is detrimental to everything, except for the concrete ornaments in your garden. The Worlds insect population has re...duced dramatically in previous years, even the Honey Bees are suffering... a 27 year Worldwide study into insect populations has proven that Australia has lost around 40% of its insects and in some nations it is incredibly near 80%. Our pollinator insects are badly affected and this of course affects food production, hand pollination of some food crops and now evident is the renting of millions of Bee hives on farms, this can be very expensive and is yet another blow for many people on the land. It is known that frogs, small lizards and birds are badly affected when insects are killed by chemical spraying and in many places it is seen in the dramatic reduction of bird species... if you remember, the Common Sparrow was always seen in and around cities, under the table at the cafes, in our back gardens but now they are very few surviving and this goes for many of our once common birds in the country. The effect doesn't stop there it goes up the food chain to larger and larger birds and animals and finally to we humans, we the clever ones on this planet, but now looking at this record... do we really care, are we so clever or just plain dumb? We all know THE ANSWER... for God's sake stop using those bloody synthetic chemicals before it is too late, return to natural ways, reduce our population and stop thinking that WE are the most important thing on Earth. 01.01.2022 That pink nose! Our mate Jenni is his mum - Sacha only has 3 legs. Grahame met Sacha when he was very young and Jenni brought him to one of our field days in Mackay. Anyway, since then and after a bit of a battle with the Qld government Jenni now has a Permit to Keep for him. It's great news - thanks Jenni for the photos. I forgive my possum for eating my lemon tree now... and my mulberry and my peaches... just have them all! I grew them for you!
