06.01.2022 As many prepare to travel across Victoria for the holiday period - in particular to high fire risk areas, we are urging the community to ensure they have a plan... and are prepared for fire. Download the Vic Emergency app. Check Fire Danger Ratings. Ensure you check the weather forecast for your journey and destination before you leave.

06.01.2022 Recently one of our crews returned to the station from an incident to find a little surprise in the letter box. Thank you to the lovely ladies who made these then so generously thought enough of us to provide us with a little ear relief from our face mask straps. We see you, and we thank you so much.

05.01.2022 Please do not enter fire areas if you do not have to, keep the roads clear for emergency services to access the fire. Our tanker is currently engaged in fire activity west of Ballarat so our station might look a bit empty if you drive past. VP

05.01.2022 Believe it or not there is a fire season just over the horizon. As you prepare your property remember we need to be able to access it with our trucks should the need arise. Can we fit through your gates and under your canopy trees?

04.01.2022 CFA has received a number of calls from community members regarding bonfires to mark the ‘Spark in the Dark’ event this evening. We appreciate those who are thanking our frontline workers, but urge you to keep fire safety front of mind. As today’s conditions are windy in some areas we are urging those who wish to participate to not do so by lighting bonfires or using fire pits.... If you are choosing to light a candle, please ensure it is monitored by an adult and extinguished properly. You might like to mark the event by using a torch or outside light. Thank you and stay safe.

04.01.2022 Someone very special has been spotted around Sebastopol and Delcombe... Keep an eye and an ear out!!

03.01.2022 This warning is currently just outside of Ballarat but strong winds and rain may still affect our area. VP
