25.01.2022 I think that having strong hip flexors will help carry me through my 100km race next weekend Indi thinks otherwise

25.01.2022 If you treat the spine as though it is weak and stiff then it may just become weak and stiff!!! This gentleman was staring down the barrel of spinal surgery only 2 weeks ago. Now he is already back riding his bike an hour twice per week.

24.01.2022 SORE SHOULDER? it might not be as bad as you thought 4 weeks ago Ryan was considering a surgical opinion... We changed the way he trains using some simple movement principles. He went away and did the work... And now he is pain free and getting stronger and more flexible than ever #totalbodyflexion @adamothephysio @physical_solutions

24.01.2022 Maybe we just need to be a LOT better at the fundamentals. If it’s good enough for some of the best in the world (Zane Zobertson, NZ record holder 10km + half marathon), it’s good enough for me.

23.01.2022 Our athlete Fi coming in for a 2 on 1 session as final prep before the sunny coast half Ironman this weekend Good luck this weekend Fi!

20.01.2022 A brilliant book. Thanks for the recommendation @chris.dorman That marriage between the strongest engine and the healthiest legs

17.01.2022 Following on from last nights post What about if instead of the 3hrs of stretching per week we just removed the stiffness and immobility at its source Inspired by Katy Bowman’s work on nutrient rich movement lifestyles, ido portal’s encouragement to be the weirdo and @adamothephysio work on prioritising spinal flexion system training, @bc.physio and I have made some simple changes to our lifestyle that reap massive rewards. We still own a dining table, but make a point of eating a meal, working or relaxing on the floor whenever possible. If you can’t start there you could start on a few pillows, a low ball or stool - and make it a goal to aim for

17.01.2022 KNEE ARTHRITIS: Interesting finding in this morning’s group Standing or sitting toe touch revealed little to no difference between the 3 of us. When we lied on our back and applied some load the difference became very obvious.... There is an overwhelming amount of evidence coming out on the importance of exercise in managing knee osteoarthritis. But what exercises? An individualised assessment is required. PM if you are interested in starting an exercise program to improve your knees Book online here: https://healthengine.com.au//physical-solutions-cal/s81551

14.01.2022 We do a great job in balancing different areas of the body in workout. How about front to back trunk asymmetries? If I put significantly more load through the spinal extensors than the spinal flexors, may this create and imbalance that leads to injury?

14.01.2022 ***New opening hours*** Saturday morning appointments available Book online here: ... https://healthengine.com.au//physical-solutions-cal/s81551 Or call 5391 4961 Seb

12.01.2022 A deceptively difficult exercise. I’m recommending this for a lot of my athletes and having great results in terms of long term lower body mobility issues. Particularly with runners. PM if any questions arise Seb

10.01.2022 ***Sound on, particularly at the end*** Friday nights in with @bc.physio

09.01.2022 Anyone interested??

07.01.2022 Interesting looking through the photos from blackall 100 Completely anecdotal, but there seems to be a correlation between foot position in running stride and finishing times I’m pretty happy with my right one here but not the left. Funnily enough guess which hip can give me troubles? ... Do not attempt to consciously change this when running! Posture and positions in standing are a reflection of more fundamental strength or mobility issues. I’ll be back next year Blackall, with a better left foot position and I suspect a better finishing time! Ps. I think I was a little dehydrated and delirious at the time these photos were taken. Excuse the face. #blackall100

04.01.2022 Why I love working at this place Thought I’d sneak in early - 6am on a Saturday - for a workout but get here and @Blau r_megson beat you to it! Halfway through Murph at 6am, by himself. Inspirational mate
