Yet, 4.7 million Australians live with high blood pressure and don’t know it. Don’t let stroke be your first sign of high blood pressure. Have you ever asked yourself:... 1. What is blood pressure? 2. Why does it matter? 3. What should my blood pressure numbers be? 4. What can I do to lower my risk? If the answer is yes, join the Stroke Foundation today Tuesday 17th May, 12pm online (AEST) to find out all the answers and more! #KnowYourNumbers #WorldHypertensionDay2022 See more

05.05.2022 May 16-22 is National Volunteer Week, Australia’s largest annual celebration of those who volunteer their precious time for a greater good. Volunteering brings people together, builds communities and creates a better society for all. At SEC Care we recognise the work of our volunteers and say thank you. 25.01.2022 Today six of our staff met at the office, and cut and sewed fabric masks. Other staff have donated material, elastic and cottons. And still others have offered to collect packs of pre-cut fabrics to sew into masks! We will have them to distribute to our wonderful workers if needed to keep them safe at work. Thanks so much to all our generous people who have helped and who are about to help out in our 'mask- making project'

24.01.2022 SEC Care is excited to let you know our offices are OPEN again as of Monday 20th July. We will ask some screening questions as you enter, and please be patient, as we have changed a few things to keep everyone safe! We have set up special boxes for all our wonderful volunteer drivers- so they can transport people safely to medical appointments, and our reception staff are taking bookings for transport now.

22.01.2022 South Eastern Community Care is taking steps to protect those vulnerable in our community and our staff and volunteers during this COVID19 emergency. Our office will not accept cash payments, but will take payments over the phone. Our group activities have been cancelled. Our non urgent transport service has been cancelled.... Staff have protocols to follow and questions they must ask upon entering peoples' homes. Some of our staff, including our CEO Helen Pollard, have returned from overseas and will stay in isolation for 14 days. We have made arrangements for the majority of our office-based staff to work from home. Our office phone is still manned. We will continue to monitor and react to whatever this emergency throws at us and our communities.
