25.01.2022 Hello stall holders Hoping you had a wonderful Australia Day Market. The weather was kind to us. Many people asked about the next market. I told those who asked that Saturday 7th March (which is Adelaide Cup Day long weekend) would be the next market.... I am keen as the weather will still be kind. I require a minimum of 10 stalls to make it viable so can you please email me yes or no as to whether you will be attending. The market after that is Easter Saturday 11th April. Cheers Amanda Wallis Market Convenor

Lots of yummy goodies to be had including relishes and chutneys, scones with jam and cream, quiches, vanilla slices, apple crumbles, spring rolls, cakes and slices, fresh veges and herbs, local olive oil, craft, locally hand made children's clothing, tea and coffee, marinated cheeses and pates, jewellery and beads, hand made aprons and produce bags, hand made candles and smellies, plus lots more. A great social outing. Have a cuppa with a local or meet some new friends. It is the place to do it. Table seating with umbrellas to enjoy your cuppa and fare. 12.01.2022 Hello stall holders. Hope you are geared up for Saturday's long weekend market. Just to let you know I will be at the hall between 3.00pm and 4.00pm Friday (tomorrow 6th) for early set up. It just takes the pressure off a bit on the Saturday morning with people going in and out through the front door at the same time with stock, trestles, etc etc.... The hall is completely secure overnight so you goodies will be safe. I will be back at the hall Saturday morning around 8.15am for those wanting to get in early. Cheers Amanda Wallis Market Convenor

10.01.2022 Thank you to all the members, friends and local community who have patronised the market over its journey. Some of the market vendors have Facebook and Instagram pages with their produce. Order of items would be by liaising with the operators directly. Postage of items or dropping to the front door I am sure could be arranged. Some also have their stock in Birdie Told Me at Normanville and this store is remaining open at present. 09.01.2022 Dear Friends Can I please let you all know what a fantastic market it was today and I am so very, very grateful for all the effort and assistance our Second Valley family puts into it. Our two COVID-19 Queens, Pamela and Karen, wow, we cannot be accused of not doing the right thing. High vis, documentation, signage, clean down, all the things. Thank you so much ladies for your efforts... Our BBQ tong wranglers, amazing work. I believe the count was 12 kgs of snags. The transference of the apron is a ceremony in itself. Love that the Specks' chooks get their crusts. Grant with the tractor, JoAnne with her social media updates, Margaret (you are a goddess) with the produce stall, Sheriff Rob with his masking tape and spray can arrows; following the bouncing ball. Mark D with his infamous coffee run, he well knows that troops march on their caffeine intake. David & Sue Speck, you know how I feel about you both. You are always there to set up, pack up, do the heavy lifting. I cannot convey how grateful I am for all the support and the community spirit we have in our little hamlet. Last but not least, my gorgeous husband who I believe has cooked every night this week as I have been chutney making, labelling, valley eatsing etc etc etc. Thank you for supporting me my love with my ventures. We will get a proper fence one day and the pizza oven will get finished. PS. I looked over the sausage sizzle today and "hands up if your an Olsson". Half the hands in the crowd went up!!! lol I so love living here. You all make it the best place. The Valley has an amazing vibe and it is all due to community input. Love you my friends. 09.01.2022 Letting you know that the Second Valley Community market will go ahead as planned. Local producers, makers, bakers etc are the people you can rely on in these interesting times. Come along and buy some local fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs, support a local baker, a local milliner, a local chutney maker, a local cheese maker, a local community sausage sizzle etc. As a community we need to remain strong and united.
