It has the delightful ruffled rim and the wonderful ruby red and sea green enamelling around the middle and on the base. It stands 5 inches/13 cm in height. 23.01.2022 Autumn Warmth......A set of Six Vintage Mid Century1960's Autumn Leaf Design with Gold gilded Rims and Gold painted Stem and Base Sherry Glasses. A nice drop of Sweet Sherry to warm the cockels of your heart..,mmm.... Each of these gorgeous autumn leaves patterned glasses stands 4 3/4 inches/12.2 cm in height X 2 3/4 inches/7 cm across the circumference of the cup and stands on a 2 1/4 inch/5.5 cm base. 22.01.2022 Rob from the Rich and give to the Poor.... Vintage Small Hand-Painted Artone Robin Hood and Friar Tuck Character Toby Jugs. Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore. According to legend, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. Traditionally depicted dressed in Lincoln green, he is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor. Friar Tuck is a common character in modern Robin Hood stories, which depict him as a jovial fria...r and one of Robin's Merry Men. Most commonly, Tuck is depicted as a fat, bald and jovial monk with a great love of food and ale. Toby Jugs were named for an 18th-century Yorkshire man who got the nickname Toby Fillpot after he drank 2,000 pints of Yorkshire stingo (ale). A Toby Jug is a figural ceramic pitcher modelled in the form of a popular character, historical, fictional or generic. These pair of small character Toby Jugs are both under-stamped Artone Made in England and imprinted in the china "Merry England". Both are in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and the colours have remained vivid. Robin Hood stands 3 1/2 inches/9 cm in height X 3 inches/7.5 cm wide and has base measurement of 2 1/4 inches/6 cm. 20.01.2022 The Squire...... Presenting a full bodied Vintage 1970's Roy Kirkham Character Toby Jug. "The Squire". Roy Kirkham has been creating fine bone china and porcelain at its Staffordshire factory since 1970. A highly skilled artisan copper plate engraver, company founder and chairman, Roy Kirkham formed the Pottery business in the early 1970"s producing character jugs and figurines. Later he would turn to the manufacture of the fine bone china and fine porcelain mugs, teapots, te...a cups and plates for which he would become globally renowned. Roy Kirkham pottery known for Staffordshire Potter's Art -Stoke on Trent. A Squire: A village leader or lord of the manor might be called a Squire, the term was also applied to members of the landed gentry. Holding a tankard in one hand and a pipe in the other. He is dressed in a tripod black hat and wearing a royal blue coat, bright green jacket, yellow scarf and yellow short trousers. He also wears gartered socks and dress shoes. Made and painted entirely by hand. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or scratches to the fine porcelain. The beautiful hues have remained vivid. This one also has the original marketing tag hanging from the handle, as an additional bonus. He stands 11 inches/28 cm in height X measuring approximately 6 inches/15.5 cm across the width of his back. The top opening measures 5 inches/13 cm and he sits on a 5 inch base. 20.01.2022 Afternoon Delight with a Baby Cino...... A Vintage Mid Century Small Majorica Style Floral With Butterfly Handle Ornamental Cup and Saucer. This gorgeous little white and Royal navy blue/night sky cup and saucer set with 3D/relief white roses and silver bell flowers is a divine little ornamental set. The cup also has gold gilding around the base and centre of the cup while the saucer has the gold gilding around the outside of the blue centre. But the bonus is the extraordin...ary butterfly handle. Such exquisite detail!! In excellent vintage condition with no chips or scratches and the hues have remained vivid. The cup measures 2 inches/5 cm in height with the cup diameter of 2.2 inches/5 1/2 cm, on a 1 inch/2.5 cm base. The saucer measures 4 inches/10cm in diameter, sitting on a 2 1/2 inch/6.5 cm. 19.01.2022 Diana, Goddess of the Hunt, Wld Animals, Fertility and the Moon..... Diana (after the Huntress) was set up in 1940 by Eric Lowe at a site in Marrickville, Sydney. In the 1940's, they produced mainly utility and kitchen ware with over 200 shapes being produced. By 1952, they were employing 70 hands who were producing a large range of Hand-Painted ware. The Diana Pottery Pty Ltd was established at Marrickville, N.S.W. in 1941 and was the most popular Australian ceramics manufac...turer between 1940's and the 1960"s. They are well known for slip-ware, kitchen ware, Hand-Painted pottery and ovenware. They produced decorative earthenware such as table vases, wall pocket vases, decanters, figurines and a popular variety of tableware known as Nefertiti consisting of serving platters, casserole dishes, ramekins, decanters and goblets. The Nefertiti range usually came in contrasting mustard, brown and white colours. Here we are presenting a lovely wine carafe, with original cork stopper and matching goblets by Diana Pottery. Part of the Nefertiti Range released in the 1960's.. Under-stamped "Nefertiti Stoneware By DIANA" J30. Carafe measurements: height being 8 inches/28 cm, with stopper 10 inches/25.5 cm X width being approximately 5 inches/12.5 cm X base of 4 inches/10 cm. 18.01.2022 Vintage 1960s Maori Doll.... This precious little Maori Doll was given to me as a gift in the mid 1960s by my Godfather, who often travelled the world. She is quite a wonderful treasure. The exquisite detailing of this gorgeous little doll , from the facial tattooing to the rare little green tiki around her neck makes this piece adorable. She has moveable arms and her eyes open and shut, and her dark hair feels almost real. She is in excellent vintage condition with no scratc...hing or repairs. 16.01.2022 One Hump or Two.......A Vintage 1980's Small Camel with Material Saddle Cloth Ornament. Despite their strong association with the Middle East and Africa, Camel's actually originated from North America 45 million years ago!! Camels are working animals especially suited to their desert habitat. My parents, who visited Egypt twice in their lifetime, managed to purchase this beautiful little ornament on their travels in the mid 1980's. He stands 4 inches /10.1 cm high x approxima...tely 3 inches/7.5 cm across from the tip of his snout to the outer edge of his tail. He is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks to the gorgeous light coloured wood and the little material saddle cloth is also in perfect condition, as is the tiny linked chain lead attached to him(as he has sat in a glass cabinet since arriving at my home over a decade ago). 09.01.2022 A Vintage 1920's Antique Royal Nippon China Floral Design Handled Rose Bowl/Planter. Nippon China was due to Japanese workers being paid very little for the time and skill they brought to their work. Japanese porcelain made for export to the United States from 1891 to 1921 is called *Nippon Porcelain" because the word "Nippon' was required by the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890. That makes this piece an antique. As well as a really unique piece. I have yet to find anything quite ...like it. The top of this rosebowl/planter is a semi-fluted area where you would float a delicate flower like a Camellia. There are holes in the top to allow water to drop down into the base of the planter. The mouth of the planter below, could accommodate a small delicate plant or a couple of small coloured cacti would fit suitably. It's wonderful unusual Hand-Painted hues of warm orange, white and grey add to its uniqueness. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and the colours have remained vivid.. Under-stamped Royal Nippon. It stands approximately 4 inches/10cm in height X 6 inches/15 cm from the outside lip of the planter to the outside edge of the handle. 07.01.2022 The Winner's Trophy........A Vintage Mid Century Large Equestrian Themed Mug. This wonderful mug was produced in the 1950/60's . A gorgeous large raised horses head,(he is alert, with ears pricked up high) is depicted on the front On the back, there is a small horses head looking out from its stable created in the same warm golden hued pattern matching the rest of the back of the mug. A dark brown rim encircles both the top and the base of the mug. The handle is designed to... resemble a riding crop handle. Under-stamped Made in Japan. In excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The beautiful warm brown, tan and white hues have remained vivid. It measures approximately 5 inches/13 cm X 5 inches/13 cm from the outer edge to the outer tip of the handle. The cup opening measures 3 inches/7.5 cm and it sits on a 3 1/2 inch base..
