18.01.2022 When you have been around as long as Secure Access I.T, It comes time for a little revamp. This week we had the fun of re-carpeting the entire office. It was time for the 14 Year Old Purple to go. The exercise of moving an entire office twice within 2 days was a great team building exercise. It's also the cleanest Jason's office has been in a while. Looking forward more changes with a new colors for the walls in the coming weeks.

12.01.2022 Are you prepared to work from home? Over the recent two weeks, we have been inundated with calls to assist companies with their remote working plans since the rise in Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. In Australia, we are used to experiencing disasters such as fires, floods, and cyclones and most businesses have developed a continuity plan to deal with business impact caused by these events. In the case of COVID-19 now that it has been declared a pandemic can confidently say are... prepared for their entire workforce to be forced to work remotely due to the office or school closures, self-imposed quarantine, government mandates or travel restrictions? It’s commonplace to have plans which address a disaster affecting one location and catering for only critical employees being enabled to work, but very few plans cater for the entire workforce needing to be capable of working remotely for an extended period. Thoughts to consider are - How can you minimise risk, disruption, and downtime? Do employees have access to a secure device to work from? Does everyone have access to the files and applications they need to be productive? Does your phone system allow your staff to take their handsets home to take calls or to use an app from their mobile phone? Do employees know how to work remotely? Do they know how to leverage your collaboration tool set other than for chat? Will they be able to communicate and collaborate effectively? In many cases, businesses already have the tools they need, however may require further enhancement or implementation. Careful planning of what is required and ensuring your corporate information security is maintained is critical. If you would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact us as we would be more than happy to provide guidance on how you can best protect and minimise impact to your business.
12.01.2022 Quickly mobilize your workforce for remote work using Teams with Free Licensing. With the recent events on the global health scene, organizations around the world are turning to technology to enable their employees to work remotely. Microsoft recently announced a free 6-month trial of their E1 Office 365 subscription which includes a more advanced version of Microsoft Teams than what you have in the free version. This is for client who are not already on the Office365 Platfor...m. With tools such as Microsoft Teams, businesses can continue to hold meetings, conduct events and communicate with one another online. People can quickly gather information and conduct surveys using Forms, employees can access their information from anywhere using OneDrive for Business and SharePoint. In short, all the power of Office 365 which enables you to access your information from anywhere and collaborate with anyone, becomes a necessity.
