23.01.2022 16 Telstra Techs Over 3 Years Couldnt Find a Fault I Found In 60 Seconds This customer is running a business from his home trading stocks. His internet wasnt working when we arrived. Over the last 3 years he has had 16 Telstra technicians attend this job to try to find and fix this problem. When his internet is working he was only getting speeds of 0.7 Mbps and it would drop out constantly, his phone line had some very loud crackles on the line. He called us late yesterda...y afternoon to see if we could help him. From what he told me over the phone, I knew straight away what this issue was, with in 60 I had found exactly what the problem was. This is a shocking display from some very unskilled Telstra techs who should be ashamed to call themselves Telephone Technician. The customer told me that not one of these 16 technicians had ever got a ladder out and looked at this very obvious issue on the pole on the customers property. He said they only went to the box on the house and then went to the pillar. Each time leaving and telling the customer that they didnt know what the problem was. As you can clearly see from this video, the join at the pole had been exposed to UV and salt as the customer lived on the river. UV rays and salt are never a good combination, when it comes to your phone and internet lines. This customer was totally wrapped as now he is getting 7Mbps and can now finally have a working phone and internet service, and he also said more importantly that now his son will be able to play his Xbox with his friends that he has been waiting almost 3 years to play. But while there is a huge buzz around what kind of exciting speeds 6G could bring, the telecoms industry hasn’t agreed on any specifications for the network yet, or even on the tech that was just shot into orbit. The satellite is commercial but will be used for research and to experiment with 6G communications technology. It will use high-frequency terahertz waves to achieve data-transmission speeds many times faster than 5G is thought to be capable of. The satellite is also kitted out with crop disaster monitoring and forest fire prevention tech. Apple has only just brought out its first 5G phone, and even by 2024, 5G is only predicted to cover up to 65 percent of the world’s population. So, no need to start saving for a 6G phone just yet.
