We are very fortunate to have Alison available by appointment at our Bendigo home to offer FREE ADVICE to families and Support Coordinators surrounding their SDA funding applications. Alison is the Housing Manager for our Bendigo Home and brings with her a wealth of knowledge within the Disability Housing sector.... Alison was a chair person on the SDA panels in her previous role with the NDIS and has now started her own company specifically focused on SDA advisory as well as being an SDA provider. In addition to the above, Alison also offers SDA consulting services to help families and Support Coordinators assist participants to put forward the best possible application for SDA funding. 14.01.2022 The new Metricon house is a beautifully built modern house that we loved as soon as we walked into it. It is light and bright and will make anyone living in it feel happy. The individual bedrooms are huge and each have a large ensuite and courtyard for the exclusive use of each resident. There is enough room for extra furniture and hobbies. We loved that the house had two separate living areas and a large garage with lots of storage space. The house is built for easy move...ment and to SDA Improved Liveability standard but does not look or feel like disability accommodation at all. All the hard work in building and accreditation of the house is done for you. It is such a great opportunity where there is very little accommodation available to this standard. I cannot wait for my family member to move into the house. Tim is very approachable and is happy to answer any queries and will try to accommodate any requests. When a family member moves into supported accommodation it can be a very emotional time. Tim is very patient, and very understanding and supportive in helping with the process. If you are looking at housing options for a person requiring supported accommodation I highly recommend that you have a chat with Tim and have a look at the house and what might be possible. 12.01.2022 NEWS: Supermarket giant Woolworths is introducing temporary measures to prevent panic-buying affecting the elderly and people with a disability. Starting Tuesday, stores across the country will be open from 7am exclusively for the elderly and vulnerable to do their shopping before opening to everyone else at 8am.
