22.01.2022 I’m not lucky, I’m not special & I certainly don’t think success comes easy. I’ve had times when I didn’t think it was going to work out, times when I was crippled with self doubt that had me inching away from giving up, I’ve worked for clients that didn’t fill my bucket, felt completely isolated & unsure of what direction I was meant to be going. Am I thankful? 21.01.2022 The traditional way of booking appointments can be quite cumbersome and involve a number of back-and-forth communication between you and your clients trying to come up with a time that suits you both. You, the service provider, would then need to manually take down the customer’s information, go into Zoom or however your meeting will take place, generate a meeting link, add it to your calendar, send a calendar invite and you also have to be diligent about following up so they... don’t miss their meeting. The process not only takes a lot of time, it also leaves room for human error and miscommunication. 21.01.2022 Excited to share with you, a series of 5 blog posts that deep diving into the reasons WHY you need a CRM to up-level your VA business Today our deep dive is all about automated client onboarding! Firstly, I just want to say - You'll still need to give your new client your personal time and attention. There's no replacement for that. It's exciting to get to know your new clients, understand their business, hear about their experiences, learn about their family, goals and futur...e dreams but often we fumble through onboarding trying to remember all of the steps to make sure you've ticked everything off - it takes away from being able to actually have these meaningful conversations with your new client. Nothing says - "this chick knows her stuff" more that a seamless, easy & professional onboarding experience. As Virtual Assistants to busy business owners and entrepreneurs, it is our job to leave our clients feeling looked after - and that should start right from the very first touch point. 18.01.2022 On a recent poll I added to our Facebook Group the number 1 thing holding people back was them thinking they didn’t have enough skills or experience to be a VA. Usually someone considering becoming a VA will have some kind of admin experience or can competently work their way around a computer so in short my answer is NO you don’t need high level skills to be a VA. There is no kind of special certification or degree that you need to become a Virtual Assistant in Australia as ...we have no certifying body overlooking our operations.. but I will beat the same drum over and over to encourage you to set yourself up properly with legals & insurances - another story for another day! If you're unsure if becoming a VA is a good fit for you - ask yourself these 3 questions: 1. Am I computer savvy? Perhaps you don't have a huge deal of technical experience but if you can find your way around a computer and "figure it out" - you've got what it takes! If you're like my grandmother who invited her entire Facebook friends list & started a watch party for everyone to see up her nostrils while she tried to work out how to turn it off than maybe it isn't for you. 2. Am I a "figureoutable" type person? My favourite word (which is actually not a word) is "figureoutable" AKA - do you often use the term "I'll Google it?" If you're the type of person who looks it up, can figure things out by watching a YouTube tutorial or aren't intimidated by doing 10 minutes research to find the answer - you’ve got what it takes! 3. Am I determined? Basically all you need is determination & strategy to do anything you want to do. Your determination will often be fueled by your reasons for wanting to do something & your strategy is how you'll make it happen - which of course is how we can help! What is holding you back from chasing your dreams?

09.01.2022 From my home office in Young NSW I get to work in roles that have been described as white collar with my clients based in Perth, Brisbane & Sydney! Cool huh!? Seed VA is an incredible community providing rural & regional women with training & expert support giving them the opportunity to work virtually with businesses anywhere in the country proving that there is such a thing as having the best of both worlds in terms of lifestyle & career.... We have now given 41 rural women this opportunity We have created jobs in rural communities & supported rural families 1 amazing women no longer has a 4 hour daily commute to the city for work Another women is travelling Australia (as much as possible) while earning an income Lots of these women now get to stay home with their young children, go to school events & don’t have to call in sick to stay home with them Feeling proud and grateful on this beautiful sunny Sunday

What once felt like a massive job that I’d avoid at all levels is now something that I find I look forward to. Doing it monthly means it only takes around 30-40 minutes of my time & it helps give me a monthly refresh & boost!

They loved hearing about how we can run successful businesses from our little (rather large) pockets of the country, that technology allows us to work virtually in white collar roles typically located in metro areas and that you can have the best of both worlds in terms of lifestyle & career! Thank you to The Daily Telegraph for the opportunity & even through I always say it’s not luck, it’s hard work I do feel very lucky to be living my dream as well as helping others achieve theirs

04.01.2022 Tip Tuesday! Loom has to be my absolute favourite tool for training and explaining! Loom enables you to screen record, voice record & video record making it super powerful for recording training videos, explaining processes & showing someone else exactly how to do something.... As a VA I encourage all of my clients to use Loom to create a bank of training videos which: - Is the virtual version of someone standing behind you showing you how to do something - Eliminates lots of questions and back and forth time - Saves lots of time navigating manuals & working out how to use systems - Enables a business owner to show a VA exactly how they like things done As a VA mentor I use this tool to serve my clients to show them how to perform certain activities. Any questions I receive around how to use recommended systems or how to do anything in our VA Start Up Program and I always find it easiest for both myself & my students to respond with a Loom video. It also has a chrome extension making it super easy to just click a little button on your browser to start recording at any time! Do you use Loom in your business?
