17.05.2022 I'm finally taking the risk to upload some snippets of footage of some leadership sessions I ran with Riaza Manricks and her team at ANZ last year. Thanks Riaza for bringing me in to your team, and for the grace to allow us to film! Thanks also to the wonderful Kurt Neil Ballener for your excellent production.

22.03.2022 I've recently started acknowledging the traditional owners of country at the beginning of my sessions, irrespective of whether I have been asked to or not. And what I mean by that is some clients have acknowledgement as a policy. Others don't, but not deliberately as far as I can tell. I do so because I find it meaningful for the groups I work with and for me. Not to be politically correct. Not to virtue signal as some say. In conversations around leadership I think it's cri...tical to raise the level of reflection beyond the immediate challenges of the operating environment to broader themes, context and history. This is a photo of the beautiful Sydney harbour from the towers of glass and steel of KPMG's barangaroo office. After acknowledging the traditional owners - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation - I ask the group to imagine what these waters would have looked like 250 years ago, and the 60000 before that. The lives and loves. The wars and treaties. The pain of settlement. The background of where we now stand. Let us gain the perspective required to make decisions in the now. I find that people engage with the story, with the background. I invite you to start acknowledgement and make it personal not perfunctory. #leadership #acknowledgement #indigenouspeoples See more

19.01.2022 Hi all. In my latest post I discuss burn out and the danger of short-termist decision making. Its the start of a conversation. Id be keen to hear your views.

19.01.2022 Keep your leadership antennae up during this time. 17.01.2022 Another week, another set of urgent tasks to complete, another set of "to-do's". Pause while planning this morning and consider the relationships in your network that might require some attention. An ex-colleague whose relationship you valued when you worked together. A team member or peer that has had a significant life event recently.... A colleague in another team that you sometimes need to act quickly to help you. An old mentor. A struggling new starter. You don't have to invent a reason or compile "insights" to offer- this isn't a BD activity, it's purely a relationship development or maintenance activity. Not urgent. But important. 17.01.2022 So many of my coaching clients, no matter what level of leadership, talk about time management as being in their top three challenges. In homage to Steven Covey, we all talk Big Rocks- know your Quadrant Two tasks. But don't put them on a list- put them straight into your calendar. Otherwise they just won't get done. A few tips:... - actually big rock time for chaos! - when urgency wins, don't cancel your big rocks, reschedule. - schedule your email/ admin, don't respond every second of the day #timemanagement #bigrocks #effectivemanagement #seedlingcts

15.01.2022 Beautiful day to be working in Brisbane #sales #negotiation #training

15.01.2022 Let's try for a different conversation...

14.01.2022 HI guys, here's my latest article on Linked In - its all about initiating tough conversations-in particular the skill of self-disclosure #toughconversations #seedlingcts #leadership #communication

13.01.2022 So much of our work now is about network partnership, cross function collaboration, and driving initiatives and change without necessarily having direct authority. To truly build relationships and achieve outcomes that can weather the often chaotic nature of this landscape, we need to be consciously skilled at creating positive influence and using effective persuasive communication strategies. Seedling CTS runs 1 & 2 day programs with embedding strategies that use evidence ...based content and design to build your team's confidence to get things done at work. Get in touch if you want to learn more. #leadership #seedlingcts #influence #persuasion

12.01.2022 Neale Daniher, AFL playing legend and coach, affectionately known as "The Rev" during his coaching days because of his storytelling and caring style in building young men's character. He was diagnosed with MND and told he had a year or so to live... That was five years ago. He's turned his circumstances into opportunity to teach others and champion the cause of MND research. One of my heroes. #leadership #mnd #accountability #agency #growthmindset

09.01.2022 I can't imagine what it would be like to face real life-threatening danger every day as part of my job! Then, to be wounded - often injured permanently - must be so incredibly tough to bear. Seedling CTS is so proud to support Soldier On, helping wounded soldiers get treatment, and participate in rehab, social events etc to get back on track. Great organisation. #soldieron #seedlingcts #service #sacrifice

08.01.2022 Such a great day working with ANZ NSW Business Banking for their annual conference. In a VUCA world the skills and mindsets of curiosity, resilience, agility and way finding are more important than ever. We examined theatrical case studies, practiced conversations through role-playing and looked at a resilience building process grounded in CBT, Lol, Growth Mindset and Positive Psychology. Great to see such strong endorsement from a talented and principled leadership team.... #resilience #cbt #curiosity #agility #seedlingcts See more

04.01.2022 Hi all- this is my latest post on ageism- the diversity and inclusion discussion we need to be having more often. Let me know what you think.

03.01.2022 Hi friends, this is my latest post on LinkedIN- a follow up to the last post on non-dual thinking.

03.01.2022 Hi all- this is my latest post, following up on the last article on Shadow. Here I discuss how using primes for compassion is a useful way to enable clients and teams to discuss and integrate shadow moments. #seedlingcts #leadership #shadow #coaching #compassion

02.01.2022 My last hurrah for the year. I wish you all a Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, and if you dont, have a great summer and a happy new year!

01.01.2022 Sometimes work intersects with certain non -work passions....
