24.01.2022 LOVE Burle's Work! Love those gigantic leaves too!

22.01.2022 Seeing the Chelsea Flower Show is certainly on our bucket list. If you missed it too, hears a nice little collection of pics -not quite the same, but the next best thing!

21.01.2022 It's sure is starting to feel a lot like spring. Can't wait to get my garden on!

20.01.2022 Nice design principles here...

16.01.2022 Hello everyone! I'm very excited to have been asked to do a little preso on garden design at an upcoming lifestyle event in September (more details to follow). I'd love to hear what garden design related topics, issues and advice you're interested in learning more about, so I can start planning and rehearsing ASAP!

16.01.2022 These poor little darlings were literally ripped up from my garden (out of necessity, not want!). While roses are pretty tough, I didn't think they would survive let alone produce such beautiful blooms just a couple of months later.

16.01.2022 Ahh bless her - Edna really is gardening royalty. If you want to get into gardening but consider yourself a 'brown thumb', pick up one of her lovely novels and take note from her many lessons learned from the garden. Would have been great to have a cuppa with her...

10.01.2022 I was not familiar with this designer until I read Rob's post. Interesting!

09.01.2022 We took these garden goodies to a local Ipswich kindy today; paper pots with patty pan flowers and seed tapes. These are some of the crafty things we make in our gardening workshops. We're helping the kindy with a design for a natural, native play space - how fun!

04.01.2022 While it doesn't quite seem right being mentioned in the same breath as Edna and Burle, we're appreciative of the shout out!

03.01.2022 Not sure what to do in the garden at the moment? June garden jobs include applying liquid fertiliser to developing vegies and flower seedlings, mulching plants, applying blood and bone to mature garden plants, feeding roses and dealing with horrible lawn weeds such as bindii before seeds spread!

02.01.2022 While we're on the subject of garden design, here's a great series of posts on famous designers from the perspective of Ipswich horticulturalist Rob ' The Mountain Man' (it is seriously scary how many botanical names this guy has stored in his head). Some garden design inspiration for us all...enjoy!

01.01.2022 What a treat to visit Queens Gardens in Townsville this week. Well worth a look if you are in the area and want some tropical garden inspiration! Gorgeous.
