20.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day here in Australia and for most of us 2020 hasnt gone to plan and many of us are feeling heavy with uncertainty, anxiety and feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Many of our plans have been postponed and our future feels uncertain. There is both a personal and collective anxiety in the air. This is not the time to add self improvement projects to out lives but a time to add more self-care practices which will help us create new experiences that will nouris...h and nurture our nervous systems bringing us out of a state of overwhelm. We dont need more doing but more connection, soothing and softening for both ourselves and others - who may be suffering silently. Please take the time today to reach out to someone that may need to know that you care, really care and ask them if they are ok? In the meantime keep taking small gentle steps towards your own self care practices whatever they may be for you, keep going and being brave with your life because you matter.

Creative Yoga for Kids (ages 6-9) is a fun and engaging class that incorporates dance, yoga games, story-telling, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. These classes encourage free expression, socialising with other children and healthy body awareness. This session commences at 3:20pm. Yoga for Tweens (ages 10-13) include yoga stretches, guided visualisation, breat...hing exercises and confidence building games. We aim to provide a safe and supportive container for tweens to explore self care, healthy body awareness and promote positive friendships. This session commences at 4:30pm. This post is to outline the new health, safety and cleanliness measures that have been implemented at Temple to adhere to social distancing regulations and most importantly to keep everyone safe.... * All classes will be capped to 6 students and bookings are ESSENTIAL. Your space must be booked via Momo Yoga or via text message to Tanya on 0412231070. Please book early to secure your spot. * You will need to BYO yoga mat, eye pillow and a freshly laundered full sized towel to cover any props we use. I will wash light Indian blankets after each class, disinfecting blocks and studio mats (which will be covered by your own anyway). * There will be hand sanitiser at the entrance so please ensure you sanitise your hands upon arrival and again before you leave. * Please respect the well being of others and remain 1.5m apart. The mats will be spaced accordingly so you can lay your mat in the right spot. * The studio will cleaned and sanitised very day including all touch surfaces and floors. * If you are not well including, cough, sore throat or fever, please do not come to class. If you are unwell and cannot make it to class please text Tanya on 0412231070 to cancel your spot. * If you receive a diagnosis of Covid19 or have been in contact with anyone who has in the last 14 days, please inform Tanya via text on 0412231070 so we can inform others that have been in the space that day. * Please note that I am still offering private one on one sessions at a reduced rate of $55 per hour. 19.01.2022 You have been telling the people that this is the eleventh hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the hour and these are the things to be considered ~ Where are you living ? What are you doing ? What are your relationships? Are you in right relation?... Where is your water? Know your garden It is time to speak your truth, create your community, be good to each other, do not look outside yourself for the leader. Today could be a good time. There is a river flowing now very fast it is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid, they will try to hold onto the shore, they will feel they are torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves for the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves, banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and celebration. 17.01.2022 The practice of yoga has helped me to build a deeper vital connection to my body and my self. Yoga is an embodiment practice, the practice of living in your body in a sensual way. When I started practicing yoga, it was uncomfortable to be still, I never stayed for savasana at the end of class and I couldnt even feel my toes. My nervous system was in overdrive most of the time, but this state was normal to me. I lived in my head most of the time and was disconnected from ...the felt experience of my body. Being busy and distracted unconsciously kept me from having a deeper more meaningful experience of life. I was just going through the motions, day in, day out. Yoga has been a therapeutic tool which has helped me to cultivate the ability to stay present and notice my inner experience, release inner tension, build the scaffolding of self acceptance, soften and open up my sensory awareness so that I can enjoy each and every moment of my life. It has helped me develop new life skills and has had a ripple effect on my mental and emotional health. I now choose to respond to life rather than react and I love helping my students discover the beautiful medicine of yoga for themselves both on and off the mat. See more

07.01.2022 I know what anxiety and depression feel like. 10 years ago my depression was so bad that sometimes I could not get out of bed, I was lethargic, tired and felt like a dark cloud was weighing me down. I was also anxious and made myself more anxious about being anxious. I was always in my head, overthinking, overanalysing and criticising myself for being anxious and depressed. It was a vicious and never-ending cycle. All I wanted was a sense of freedom from all of this noise i...n my head. I was lucky that my doctor suggested trying a meditation and yoga class because this is what put me on the road to healing and now I am deeply passionate about weaving the deeper teachings of yoga psychology, philosophy and breathwork to help others manage and navigate mental health. Most people are dealing with some level of anxiety and especially at the moment with so much change and uncertainty in the world. People with anxiety are often stuck in the future, concerned with what might transpire. Anxiety usually stems from fear, of the future, of not knowing and not being able to cope with what might arise in the future. Depression is more a feeling of a stagnation, an energetic bog, a feeling of being stuck, weighed down with no self motivation to move forward. It can feel quite isolating and sufferers often feel ashamed and selfish especially if everything looks ok in their external life. This causes many people to suffer in silence and not seek help. I believe that the practices and deeper wisdom teachings of yoga can offer profound support and guidance for people that are navigating the path of mental health whether it be anxiety or depression, or both. I offer private sessions and also am running a three week series where I will offer practical tools to support and improve your state of mind and overall wellbeing. 05.01.2022 What a time of great uncertainty and collective global anxiety it is for us all. How are you navigating your way through this? Its REALLY important right now to not allow ourselves to be pulled into the mass hysteria and to COME TOGETHER as a collective, not allowing the anxiety, panic and fear to feed into our consciousness. Viruses live and feed on low immunity and the quickest way to lower our immune system is to be coming from the energy of fear and anger.... These times call for consistent cultivation of practices that call us into a deep state of embodied presence. Our ability to stay calm, present and discerning amidst the storm of pandemonium is paramount. What are your practices? What brings you back to your centre? How do you practice kindness and compassion? I personally, feel that that this forced space/social distancing/self isolation is a chance for us to go inward and reflect on what matters most to us. How can we look after our own well being as well as our neighbours and also a reminder that PEACE can only be found within.
