24.01.2022 I was honoured to be asked to walk the runway at the 2020 Empower event, as my dear friend Dr Anh Nguyen - Specialist Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon launched her new range Empower by Dr Anh. So much more than a fashion show, Empower moved, inspired, and uplifted us all. I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I was quite resistant to the idea of being a ‘model’ for the day when first asked. That the old insecurity and fear didn’t arise as I pictured myself walking a ru...nway, in front of a room full of people, just 3 months after having given birth (in a body suit no less). But the energy on the day, as I got ready surrounded by other inspiring empowered women, was magnetic. And by the time the runway came the room was a-buzz with excitement. I felt seen, held, witnessed, adored. Sentiments I usually feel when in the presence of @dranh_femaleplasticsurgeon. So it was no great surprise to me that the energy of her event, radiate with the same inspiring empowering glow of her soul. As I walked the runway for the first time they read out the below - Courtney has her feet grounded firmly into the earth, heart in the sea, and head in the stars. A brand new mum who has navigated through her own healing journey with bipolar and PTSD. Courtney now guides others in their own healing journeys, guiding them to a life of alignment, through intuitive coaching. When she was disempowered she bit her tongue, afraid to speak the truth in her heart, for fear of rejection. She stumbled off her path, falling into the footsteps of others she believed knew better than herself. Empowerment came like a summer storm, unexpected but deeply needed. It nourished her with strength, and bloomed her into confidence. She spoke with a fire to her voice, abandoning the restriction of ‘playing it safe’, learning self empowerment came through doing, not fearing. Dr Anh Medispa @ Crown Metropol Mansions

23.01.2022 And just like that another year has passed. When I sat in ceremony at the start of the year and called in a word for 2020, I was given ‘surrender’. As if this year has taught me anything it’s taught me to surrender in the midst of duality. ... For me 2020 was a year that somehow felt like the longest, and the shortest of my life. A year that was one of the worst, yet also the absolute best. A year of immense grief, and immense joy.
