20.01.2022 And the other set of small paintings about Mornington. Some of these places will look familiar if you are someone who walks around Mornington clifftops overlooking the water. It's her first upload in this way and really shows how an artist thinks and works as he/she walks about in life. We see things in different ways ..In the bush, we sometimes seeing spaces between trees, sometimes the beautiful textures, sometimes the trees as lines, we see light but also h...ow it affects different surfaces or the colour of it, we see patterns in nature and then immediately are inspired to create something like this in different mediums ...this is bliss for us and is our way of bringing the beauty of the world to YOU, the viewer, but an artist doesn't just see these things ..Artists RE-IMAGINE and RE-CREATE the things around us and our feelings about them ..why? Hmm everyone has different impetuses but I think in many people's minds, it is to show love for nature , reverence, appreciation, excitement with shapes, colours and textures we see in the world..and we feel an irresistible urge to DO it and to bring that awareness into YOUR LIFE too!
