25.01.2022 You'd only find this in the George Brown Botanical Gardens in Darwin. The best family adventure and it's free!!!

25.01.2022 Darwin should be proud of this street art. It's some of the best in the world. This is just a few of the highlights around Darwin.

18.01.2022 Mr. T (Eric) is allowed to roam the park at night. We don't have a wild dog problem anymore, the cats are gone and he eats cane toads without any ill effects (we do now have a bigger list of missing persons), he's like a vacuum cleaner, he really cleans up.

17.01.2022 Botanical Gardens tours are still one of the most popular Segway tours. As only in the NT would you get a Botanical Gardens that shows what the Territory is all about. We like to think after travelling through the NT for so many years, going through the Botanical Gardens is a good summary of what we have to offer from the 1.42 million square km's of the Territory. It's all here! From the local tucker to the history and the people of this land to the settlement of Darwin, this... shows that we are a multicultural, unique and mixed up bunch of beautiful people, with the flavours changing daily. The tour goes for at least 1.5 hours, and is best in the mornings and later in the afternoon when it is cooler. A great tour for only $90 per person. You must visit the new community centre as there is so much history to explore. Our Segway and helmets are wiped down and disinfected. We are back from the COVID-19 lockdown and ready to go. It's amazing what you can find at the Botanical Gardens. We look forward to seeing you. To book your next tour, contact: Mobile: 0417 781 178 Email: [email protected]

17.01.2022 RELAX... Get on a Segway and look at the sky from the coast! We are now doing sunset tours valued at $90 - reduced from $99 for the month of May The tours are run from East Point and go for at least 1.5 hours (It's the coolest and best time to see the wildlife!)... After being closed due to COVID-19, all handlebars and helmets are wiped down and disinfected (like usual) for your safety and to promote social distancing. We look forward to seeing you soon! Message/Call 0417 781 178 or email [email protected] to book your next tour

16.01.2022 The Dry Season is the time to check out the clarity and the colour of the water around the coast.

16.01.2022 We're not at the Zoo, we're at the Botanical Gardens!

16.01.2022 Don't know what's more dangerous, Hash House Harriers on Segway or running. Noddy playing real life skittles. This is a great portrait of one of the funniest times Segway Tours have had.

15.01.2022 Harold the Giraffe cruising the Botanical Gardens on a Segway and meeting the locals.

11.01.2022 6 inch guns facing out to sea protecting Darwin Harbour were quite ineffective. They did not stop the planes coming from behind bombing the harbour. They were specifically designed to sink Japanese ships. The Japanese knew of our coastal defences including the 9.2 inch guns which had a much greater range than the Japanese ships of 22 nautical miles. However, as the Japanese invaded, the guns fired two warning shots each at two Philippines rescue ships coming into the harbour as they did not know there was a password to get in but were brought in.

08.01.2022 Real Aussie peanuts.

08.01.2022 HMAS Benalla was based off Darwin and North Bay (code for Milne Bay which was a Japanese occupied port). This photo was taken before it was camouflaged. It was one of the first ships to be painted in camouflage.

06.01.2022 The HMAS Deloraine is noted for it's sinking of the large I-124 Japanese submarine coming into Darwin Harbour. The ship avoided the torpedoes and dropped it's depth charges sinking the submarine on the 20th of January 1942 at 1:35 pm. Photo of the HMAS Deloraine at the bombing of Darwin.
