23.01.2022 Taking Time - For Mental Health Thank you and well done to everybody who attended our special event last Saturday in support of Queensland Mental Health Week Seido Sunnybank Karate hosted to a number of students, family, friends old and new at a meditation and karate class in the park ... It was a perfect day to sit and meditate and enjoy nature, followed by some enjoyable training and a delicious lunch cooked by head chef, Louie Antcliff We look forward to supporting Queensland Mental Health Week again next year as well as other worthwhile causes within our community. 16.01.2022 We are loving these throwbacks of our students from when they first started training... seems to be a family theme here too Senpai Matt and Annabelle, January 2017 and June 2020

15.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our adult graders last night! Well done to Lee (Green Belt 4th Kyu), Natalia (Adv Blue Jnr 7th Kyu), Pushpa and Tyreece (Blue Belt 8th Kyu) Your perseverance and commitment over the past few months especially (and longer for some of you) has been exceptional and it showed, as you were deservedly awarded your new grades last night. Keep up the strong and dedicated training! ... OSU!

12.01.2022 Last night we held our first promotion since the resumption of classes in the dojo a few weeks back Many of our students have been training super hard both online and since returning, so it's awesome to see them rewarded for their effort. It was extra special for Ismail and his family.. Ismail successfully promoted to blue belt exactly two years TO THE DAY after his older brother Isak promoted to blue belt.... Isak recently promoted to green belt online through our virtual dojo during isolation, at the same time, his sister Seida also promoted to yellow belt, meaning their family now has Isak (Green Belt 4th Kyu), Seida (Yellow Belt 6th Kyu) and Ismail (Blue Belt 8th Kyu). Ismail did an awesome job, from a young boy who said "No I'm not!", late last year when his mum, Sabina told me "Ismail will join next year also", to the young boy with the loudest kiai from start to finish at his first promotion.. Well done Ismail! And well done to the other successful graders also! Annabelle and Maya (Green Belt), Melika and Ismail (Blue Belt)
