22.01.2022 Coercive Control is a little recognised, and rarely discussed, form of family violence. It is insidious. It is progressive. It is incredibly dangerous to women and children, and is often a sign of worsening family violence to come. This proposed legislation is a great start in tipping the onus back on the right party - the question is not to the victim "Why didn't you leave" - it should be a strong statement to the perpetrator "You have committed a criminal act, and you... will be dealt with accordingly". If you or someone you know is a victim of family violence, there are resources available to assist. In our local area, please reach out to our office or http://www.edvos.org.au/ Please join us in campaigning for the introduction and use of this important legislation. @david.hodgett @jacksontaylormp @michaelsukkarmp @scottmorrisonmp @danielandrewsmp See more

21.01.2022 IMPORTANT POST: Victorians fleeing family violence not subject to curfew Victorian Women Minister Gabrielle Williams has confirmed people fleeing family violence are allowed to leave their homes at any time, and travel as far as they need to. "If you need to leave your home because you are unsafe, the curfew will not apply to you," Ms Williams posted on social media.

19.01.2022 Whereas, on or about the night prior to Christmas, there did occur at a certain improved piece of real property (hereinafter "the House") a general lack of stirring by all creatures therein, including, but not limited to a mouse...... Merry Christmas everyone!

15.01.2022 It's hard to be excited about 2021, given the year we have all had. If you didn't suffer a loss this year, then you knew someone close who did For 2021, let's focus on what we do have, who we can help, and what we have achieved. We won't say that 2021 is going to be 'our year', but it is a new year that we can try again and, auld lang syne. With love to everyone, @selawyers

10.01.2022 We have been advised by the community that a business in Mooroolbark was fined this week for returning to their office. Whilst this type of heavy handedness continues, we are unable to offer appointments in our office. Please complain to your local member, the premier and anyone else you know to help us effect a change in this regard. As soon as we can open, we will let you know. We're all eager to come back! #LetUsOpen
